Why do so many people believe every piece of speculation and rumor they hear or read on the internet?

Just because all these talking heads are thinking that the house is on fire in Davie doesn't mean it is true.

Please some restraint. Most of these "sources" etc. are BS. How many times have we heard various things and they never happened? The rush by media and internet outlets to have the inside track leads to bad information. Look at how the Incognito story evolved.

I am not going to go postal until I see what happens.

That's just silly taking a wait and see attitude. You need to decide right now if the team is a complete failure! What is waiting going to do for you? Your wasting valuable over-reacting time.

If we aren't supposed to believe anything posted on line should we not believe the positive articles, tweets, etc too?

And why is it that fans are offended by what other fans believe whether positive or negative. Why can't we just let people be fans and drown themselves in their doom and gloom or put on the blinders of a homer. Never understood that.

I mean seriously...i have never seen so much negative projection. Every endorsement Hicky gets is automatically a veiled message of dislike. Every bleacher report rumor from a source of a cousins brother who ran into Steve Ross's gardner in Wal-mart is now truth!!

Jeez people...take a breath and see what happens first.

:bs:

I wouldn't. I have seen just as much "good news" that never happened as well. The point is that speculation has become media, and fact is no longer the standard.

All the reporting aside, its just embarrassing how badly Ross's actions are and the reputation he has created. We all know the actions he has taken since he became majority owner and all most all of what he has tried to do has failed, for whatever reason.

What it comes down to is, personally, I do not trust anything that is reported about this organization OR what is stated by this organization. Only thing I see is Ross trying to make a bunch of moves that he has failed at.

Agreed, but he has done no worse or better than Wayne H the last 5-8 years he owned the team. I am amazed at how we can change owners, entire coaching staffs and players and have exactly the same product on the field. It is like the NFL version of groundhog day.

The problem isn't isolated to the internet.

I'm listening to the Big O right now on the radio (on the internet) and he's blowing massive chunks of BS over the airwaves.

It's like he's missed all the info coming out about the hire.

Says Hickey isn't qualified. No experience in talent evaluation whatsoever. God I wish I lived down there, I'd call up and blast him.

Because if its on the Internet it must be true

Really makes you wonder if there is some force behind all of this negative publicity surrounding this team.

It seems a little unbalanced and unfair.

I agree in terms of changing players and coaches and whatnot and still having the same outcomes on the field, but Wayne seems to be more respected than Ross. I know it was a bad move but at the time is wasnt. When Wayne coerced Parcells to ditch Atlanta and come to Miami. Wayne did that within a day (I think it was) of Parcells signing with Atlanta. Ross cant even get lower director level exec's to take a huge promotion with Miami.

Has nothing to do with the internet or media reports. Just look at the facts, not the opinions.

But, this is 21st century America & The need for instant gratification is paramount. :d-day:

As for me, I'm taking a wait and see approach. After all, its just another form of entertainment & not a matter of life or death.

The hiring process was a disaster, but I will give Hickey a chance. Don't have much of a choice.

He has been the Dolphins GM for just about 36 hours, so I will give him a chance to see what he can do. Rick Spielman was horrible with the Dolphins but has done a decent job with the Vikings.
