Someone saw something to gain from this and I don't think it was Martin. I think a greedy agent looking for a nice settlement fee leaked this to media. I think this is why Icognito sounded off on twitter like he did.

It is kind of messed up.

Didn't martin's handlers (assumed mother) file a formal complaint?

Lawyer parents- one of whom wrote a book on juvenile crime that included bullying.

m pretty sure Martin would make more money in his free agency than this stuff will gain him. People forget he makes a million a year

If he wins a lawsuit don't they try to factor in what he potentially may have made in free agency and over his career and award him something close to the ceiling of his potential?

His mommy and daddy prob did.

Perhaps over the life of the contract, however he could sue (based on severity) for tens of millions of dollars. He can sue the NFL, RI, and the Dolphins. All three are liable.

this is bizarre...I almost feel like this is some conspiracy...

conspiracy..... hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Sue the NFL and get paid big and not have to play football anymore. Get back at your enemy at the same time. Martin’s parents are lawyers. They wrote a book on bullying odd enough.

Maybe the Martin family made a deal with ESPN – together they can make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Now I can reference this email in the future.

I knew it this whole story seemed strange!

Agenda, maybe. Cash grab for failed football career, yea. Conspiracy, who knows.

Agreed. Its a cash grab. As the great Eric Bischof once said, "Controversy creates cash."

On a tangent, JM's Dads full name is Clarence Augustus. If that doesn't I'm scream uptight peckerwood then what would?

If the Dolphins play this right there will not be a law suit.....let him get the mental help he needs while on the payroll and the Fins pay for his medical bills, then give him the opportunity to rejoin the team, keep him as a back up for a yr or two (fnish his rookie contract) then cut ties to him or let him retire after his rehab and pay him his guaranteed money....plus the NFL must put in place Hazing rules which will probably be something drastic like 0 tolerance for rookie hazing and the fins will be fined some money and donate it to some bully charity and lets do some public announcements about bulling and visit high school teams in the area and call it wrap oh yea let commissioner make some PR speech with Ross by his side and call it a day.....Richie gets some anger management training and has to play for another team at the Vet minimum for two yrs then let him make that last good contract if he keeps his nose clean....
