If Lions Lose, Pats Start to Worry?

They don't play @ Buffalo, but yes, that could get very interesting. That would be epic if we got the #2 seed and the Pats didn't even get in.

This would translate into the MOST EPIC outcome of the end of the 2013 regular season. My joy would be overwhelming...my cupeth overflow.

honestly dont care what happens in ravens game tonight.

i would not be upset at all if the ravens won.

right now, we control our destiny. if we take care of our business, we r in postseason, end of story.

if we lose 1 of next 2, we reslly dont deserve to get in. take care of business and we r in regardless of ravens results.

That's the right way to look at it.

Since we KNOW that if we win the next two, we're in -- man up. Sell out to win the next two and don't stand by wringing hands hoping that this or that person loses enough that we get in. Just man up. Do the WORK necessary to winning. Knock the dang door down, don't back through it w. a scared expression, lol.

bc he thinks we play for the team and all focus must be on that.

but yea, we need atleast one Ravens loss even with we win out. We dont completely own our own destiny yet.

Yes we do... ravens play Bengals week 17. If we win out and bmore loses we're in because of a better record, if bmore wins we're in because we own tie breaker over Bengals.

False, we do own our own destiny. With the steelers win over Cincy, it assured us that if we win out we are in. This is true because if the ravens win out that means the ravens get the afc north and we win the wildcard over the bengals beating them head to head.

Now that your little macho pep talk is out of the way, let me tell you how it works in the real world. We might NOT run the table, because this is the NFL and upsets happen all the time. So, if we DO end up losing a game, I sure as hell want to make sure that other teams lose so that we make the playoffs anyway. I most certainly will be rooting for others teams in the race to lose, as should anyone who considers themselves a Dolphins fan.

Getting the 6th seed would not be a bad thing. If the playoffs started today, the Phins as the 6th seed would play at the Bengals in the first Wildcard game. If the Broncos finish with the #1 seed which it looks like they will, they would host the Dolphins at Mile High, if we beat Cincy. I would love being able to watch the Phins in a playoff game here in Colorado. All the pressure would be on Denver.

Why can't we pay attention to teams outside of our own?

You can and I will too. What I am saying is everyone is talking about "winning out" and scoreboard watching etc....worry about a game in Buffalo that will be tough.

Agreed

My point is if the Fins lose at Buffalo all the scenarios change. Take care of business against a good team and an excellent HC.

I Lions win make the playoffs easier for us to attain, so I'm obviously wanting the Lions to win. Also I don't give a **** about the Patriots.

Even more importantly, I want us to win out convincingly so there is little chance of us not getting in.

I can multitask and root for a lions victory tonight. I still want the phins to win out and the pats to lose out. I'm also a football fan in general, so I was going to watch the game tonight anyways. Glad it has extra meaning.
