If Manning wanted to be a Dolphin, he would've went to Miami FIRST!

It's all a plan. He's using the others to up the ante. When he arrives at Dolphins camp last his agent can throw down the offer of the clubs and say "can you beat this number?". Stephen Ross will say yes and a deal will be commenced.

If Peyton Manning wanted to be a Miami Dolphin, he would have went to Miami FIRST, and signed at 4:01 EST on Wednesday. He doesn't want to go where the Front Office is in disarray. He doesn't want to go where he has the TOUGHEST road to the playoffs. He doesn't want to go where the fans of the team he plays for are out-numbered by the visiting team's fans AT HOME every game.

He DOES, however, want to go where he has the most control over the offense. I say Manning is a Cardinal before Sunday.
Indoor stadium, loyal fan base (even the sucky Cardinals sell out) that cheers for their team, Bidwells will spend $$, receiving core in prime, and Peyton can golf more in Phoenix than in Miami!

I would be surprised if the Dolphins even land a QB in free agency. I personally think if we are going to get any QB in FA, it is Flynn. He has the ties to Philbin and crew. BUT, Moore was pretty dang good for us last year considering what short time he had to pick up on things.

Since I live in the area and have seen him play in college....I will tell you the "Tom Brady" of this year's draft is KELLEN FRICKIN MOORE from Boise State! He is accurate, smart, reads defenses well, has a better than average arm. He is alot like Drew Brees. 6' tall, but has the accuracy and timing and vision. I guarantee he is the sleeper of the entire draft.

So, Fin fans, we will suffer this spring, summer, and fall......no matter what happens...because Dan Marino STILL isn't coming back......

;)

Haha I love it everyone is getting so paranoid its pretty funny woosa woosa woosa calm down deep breaths its ok....Actually my friend I think its the complete opposite of what you said and heres why In my opinion...He already knows what Miamis got to offer they already said their "all in" and he see the talent we have so I truely believe mia is his choice and basically hes making his rounds to give everyone a fair shot to pitch him because hes a CLASS ACT and wants to at least give those teams he narrowed down a fair shake..Look at hows he starting out going to Denver, then KC, Zona then finally coming back to Mia sunday after hearing everyone out to sign and stay here like he had planned in his mind all along...If he wasnt interested in mia he would of got us out of the way first because he already was in town so why leave and comeback thats a waste of time if hes not interested esp if hes making his rounds anyway from what their reporting. Stay patient!!!!

Mort reported that he is visiting each location and isn't going to make a decision until he has visited all potential suitors. I would be suprised if he just up and signs with Denver during this visit.

wasnt there a report that ross and manning talked on the phone after he was released from the colts?

This is random but doesnt Peyton Manning look like a human Thumb? lol!! Just thought Id throw it out there.

You are incorrect sir. If Miami is the favorite to land Manning, and Peyton has Miami at the top of his wish list, he goes to the other teams first to see if they can blow him away with an offer. If not, Peyton comes home to Miami and signs with the Fins next week.

^ This exactly

Denver is throwing money out there that is way too much for us to cover. KC have already offered them something and I am sure it is way out there.

I am starting to believe what my wife said earlier. "Peyton aint going to Miami"

This is all about money.

We just witnessed Washington throwing away their draft for the next three years. Denver is spending their unspent money. Its always about the money.

you are so wrong i'm glad we get him last let denver and arizona wine and dine him in the end the dolphins will land peyton!

Disagree. Manning is using the Broncos and Cards as leverage. His agent isn't stupid, the more Manning makes the more he makes. You go to the other teams first to drive your price up, you go to your first choice last and work out a deal with other offers in hand. Negotiating 101. Same thing Fisher did to us with the Rams, he never was coming here. He used us to drive the price up, never intending to sign here. He visited his first choice last, with offers in hand and drove his price up. Don't jump off the ship before it's even sinking. Don't believe the media, they don't know any more than you or me.
You can't use leverage when the teams you are going to have as much or more $$$ to spend with their cap than we do. Look at Washington. Snyder has his own frikkin' money press, but Manning didn't go there. Denver and Arizona have troubled players and player scenarios. WE have a troubled FRONT OFFICE. Why do you think HARBAUGH didn't become the coach?

Ok, if two circus clowns came up to you and told you they had a fool-proof way to make a million dollars in a day... would you not believe them because of how they looked, how they walked, or how they honked their horn... THEY'RE STILL CLOWNS! You would only base what you believe on your own experience and your own successes and failures.

Here's the wake-up call: Our front office are CLOWNS! They do not know how to study talent or evaluate people, or draft for that matter. Philbin will be Sporano all over again. Hands tied by a crappy GM with an owner who wants to fill seats for soccer games and concerts, not NFL games. I'm telling you now.....we will have the worst record in the AFC next year, if not the entire league. We have ZERO depth at half of the team's positions. We have 25 former Dallas wash-ups. We can't find 3 feet and 1 centimeter for a first down inside the opponent's 2 YARD LINE and end up either at 4th Down and 12 or 4th and 1 and not converting.

That is a personnel thing. Lousaka Polite still on the team last year....we win 11 or 12 games. He was our horse for short yardage and could block. Personnel decision. Front office cans Polite....why? because Lex "Mr. 1.3 yards a carry" Hilliard was so much better on short yardage... venting over....I am sure now one of you Cheetohs and Rock Star consuming statistic-o-philes is going to correct my sarcastic and OPINIONATED and exaggerated points. Did I use my words right now?

You shop around to see what is out there. As ESPN put it, he has never seen another facility, another weight room. He's got 3 days to decide and 3 facilities to visit.

It is about money because Peyton probably had plans for that $28M bonus from Indy.

He has as much time as he wants. 3 days? Where did you get that?

Harbaugh wanted to stay in SF(Stanford). dont be an azzclown.

It isnt Ross' fault. At least he made an effort. I dont understand peoples logic sometimes.

This one is about money.
