If Peyton Manning wanted to be a Miami Dolphin, he would have went to Miami FIRST, and signed at 4:01 EST on Wednesday. He doesn't want to go where the Front Office is in disarray. He doesn't want to go where he has the TOUGHEST road to the playoffs. He doesn't want to go where the fans of the team he plays for are out-numbered by the visiting team's fans AT HOME every game.
He DOES, however, want to go where he has the most control over the offense. I say Manning is a Cardinal before Sunday.
Indoor stadium, loyal fan base (even the sucky Cardinals sell out) that cheers for their team, Bidwells will spend $$, receiving core in prime, and Peyton can golf more in Phoenix than in Miami!
I would be surprised if the Dolphins even land a QB in free agency. I personally think if we are going to get any QB in FA, it is Flynn. He has the ties to Philbin and crew. BUT, Moore was pretty dang good for us last year considering what short time he had to pick up on things.
Since I live in the area and have seen him play in college....I will tell you the "Tom Brady" of this year's draft is KELLEN FRICKIN MOORE from Boise State! He is accurate, smart, reads defenses well, has a better than average arm. He is alot like Drew Brees. 6' tall, but has the accuracy and timing and vision. I guarantee he is the sleeper of the entire draft.
So, Fin fans, we will suffer this spring, summer, and fall......no matter what happens...because Dan Marino STILL isn't coming back......
You are incorrect sir. If Miami is the favorite to land Manning, and Peyton has Miami at the top of his wish list, he goes to the other teams first to see if they can blow him away with an offer. If not, Peyton comes home to Miami and signs with the Fins next week.
You sir sound remarkably "trollish" imo.lolCoaches and players are different. Apples to oranges. Signed: Dante Culpepper and Cam Cameron
You can't use leverage when the teams you are going to have as much or more $$$ to spend with their cap than we do. Look at Washington. Snyder has his own frikkin' money press, but Manning didn't go there. Denver and Arizona have troubled players and player scenarios. WE have a troubled FRONT OFFICE. Why do you think HARBAUGH didn't become the coach?Disagree. Manning is using the Broncos and Cards as leverage. His agent isn't stupid, the more Manning makes the more he makes. You go to the other teams first to drive your price up, you go to your first choice last and work out a deal with other offers in hand. Negotiating 101. Same thing Fisher did to us with the Rams, he never was coming here. He used us to drive the price up, never intending to sign here. He visited his first choice last, with offers in hand and drove his price up. Don't jump off the ship before it's even sinking. Don't believe the media, they don't know any more than you or me.
It is about money because Peyton probably had plans for that $28M bonus from Indy.Denver is throwing money out there that is way too much for us to cover. KC have already offered them something and I am sure it is way out there.
I am starting to believe what my wife said earlier. "Peyton aint going to Miami"
This is all about money.
We just witnessed Washington throwing away their draft for the next three years. Denver is spending their unspent money. Its always about the money.
He has as much time as he wants. 3 days? Where did you get that? You shop around to see what is out there. As ESPN put it, he has never seen another facility, another weight room. He's got 3 days to decide and 3 facilities to visit.
