At work I have friends that do nothing but tout how great Marcus Vick is. They think he is Michael Vick but with a better arm and pocket presents. I personally feel he isn't the QB I would build my team behind. What do you guys think (Of course this could almost be a Vince Young thread)?

watch the game against miami and come back to me. he had absolutely no clue what was going on out there

i like Vick. hes ahead of his brother in the passing department. hes not nearly as fast though.

hes short, has a low release for a short QB to. but i like him. i expect him to be a top choice next year when he comes out.

What he said ^^^^

Plus I dont like running qb's. They take longer to develop because not only do they need to learn the speed and intracacies of the game on this level but they have to be taught to fight their instinct to run. McNair, McNabb, Young, Vick, Culpepper the list goes on but Young won one cause he learned how to throw from the pocket. Guys like Cunningham are exciting but they dont make for bigtime QB's when it comes to playoff time and you need more than athletic ability to win. Im not saying theyre not good, just saying they are harder to groom and yu risk a quincy carter type disaster

No I wouldn't be happy. He has MILES to go before he could be considered an NFL prospect. At times his touch and mechanics are hideous.

lol. the truth hurts

but you're biased, so whatever

he has 1 bad game agaisnt the best defense in college football and it discounts everything he did during the year?

did you watch the BC-Tech game?

wow, boomer, i totally disagree. he displays great touch on his throws. thats one reason i like him so much. i agree he has got a while to go to be a NFL QB, but he has great touch

the fact that he had NO CLUE what was going on and panicked and made DUMB decisions is enough for me. he had it easy in the other games, as his receivers got wide open and his line opened up huge lanes and his backs got good yards. as soon as a play broke down against miami, he showed his true colors. he either forced dumb passes, or threw a deep ball to try and get a quick score. or he tried to scramble, only to be met immediately

I've seen Ron Mexico's brother play once....against Miami and he looked HORRID.

If that is what to expect when he steps up in level of competition I'll pass.

Hell No No No And No Again No Rb At Qb How Many Times Will They Have To Fail Before People Realize A Qb Needs To Be A Qb Not A Hot Dog Showboat Running Back Afraid To Take Hits So I Throw The Ball Like A Qb But Take Off When In Uneccesary To Run Like My Brother Mike Does

He hasn't got the instincts of his brother but he definitely has better touch than Mike. He is as fast as Mike probably faster but his running skills are nowhere near Mike's either, he is a freak with great vision and instincts when he is running.

Apart from that I don't really know what to say about him, I wouldn't want to draft him this year because I did see the Miami game but I also do keep in mind that he only has around 10 starts and that he needs more especially against great D's like Miami's.
I might look at drafting him as a QB next year depending on how he progresses.

Marcus Vick would be crazy to come out this year and if he did i wouldn't want him anywhere near a fins uniform, he has nowhere near the speed or escapability of his brother and as for those who think hes further along as a passer which games are you watching?! Mike Vick led the nation in passing efficiency before coming out, Marcus Vick leads the nation in hype due to family name
