Say in the course of a couple of trade downs Miami got
back their #2 from Philly. Would Feeley then get more
slack from people ?

No QB we ever get will be good enough for some people because they are stuck in the past with Marino and can't move on. Everyone will be compared to Dan and that's why no QB will ever get a fair shake in Miami. Would you want to play here and be held up to that standard? I wouldn't

Perfect Example: John Elway - Jake the Fake.... He will never lead them to the promise land....

But if AJ Feely becomes a pro bowler and puts up great numbers (ala Manning, Green, etc) it will be easier to forgive....

The chiefs gave up a 1st rounder to the Rams for Green and everyone wanted to cut trINT and shoot him in year one... 3 years later he leads the best offense in the NFL and all is forgiven....

If feely can become a stud I think people will forgive and say how a 2nd rounder was worth a QBOTF - But until then its a bust even if you pick up a 2nd...

unless feeley proves himself this year - that will be the only way to justify trading that pick whether we get it back or not - personally i hope he can run our offense - he had some good moments last year - i will always be one that feels we overpayed for that guy when we did

Not at all. All I want is a guy that can lead a team, make good decisions with the football, and make big plays occasionally. Jay Fiedler, Ray Lucas, and A.J. Feeley don't fit those criteria.

I think if Feeley does better this year I will be happy. The team was bad in almost every area last year and Feeley didn't have a good chance to show what he can really do with an adequete Offensive line and decent skill position players. Next years QB class is much more attractive than this years so I will be happy to turn #2 into extra picks and think about a franchise QB next year after looking at Feeley more. GreenMonster

Next year's QB class could be the worst since 2000...

HELL NO!

Throwing INT's and INT's returned for TD's is the only thing hes good for!

Steve Young did well under Montana's shadow. Ya I know not the same thing.

When comparing a 61 passer rating to Dan Marino, there's plenty of room to get somebody quite a bit better than the 61...

Will San Diego need to unload Phillip Rivers?

Their QB situation will resolve itself likely after this season.

How could next years QB class be worse than this year. 2 QB's that nobody is sure of and some good 2-3 round guys. Atleast Leinart will be a franchise QB in some GM's opinion. Others like this year will emerge (see Alex Smith).. GreenMonster

Ya he threw some pick 6's, but that was LAST YEAR.

WE have a new team this year. Feeley will do better. I for one do not think we WASTED a draft pick. Wanny can't coach a football game. That was Feeley's problem last year.
