If Moore starts, how many wins does he need to maintain to start all season?

Week 3 vs Jets
Week 4 @ Arizona
Week 5 @ Cincy
Week 6 vs Rams
Week 7 Bye
Week 8 @ Jets
Week 9 @ Indy
Week 10 vs Tennessee
Week 11 @ Buffalo
Week 12 vs Seattle
Week 13 vs Pats
Week 14 @ SF
Week 15 vs Jax
Week 16 vs Buffalo
Week 17 @ New England


I'd say by the Bye week we would need to have 2-3 wins. After that the between weeks 8-12 we need to win another 2-3. Then after that 1-2 against Jax and Buffalo.

I'm worried of certain possible losing streaks that will cost him his job and then we will be forced to toss Tannehill in the fire early.

I believe Philbin will stick with his day 1 starter through the season even with consecutive losses. He only will make a change due to injury.

IMO, Moore and/or Garard will start until the Dolphins are eliminated from the playoffs (assuming that occurs). Then Tannyhill get a start and possibly finish the season as the starter.

I think Moore opens the season as the starter. It all depends on how Tannehill looks in preseason and training camp, if he looks better than Garrard we could see him earlier rather than later.

Your statement is not that clean cut. Many variables go into wins and losses.

I think they will stick to their guns and keep tannehill on the bench as long as they can this season. I honestly would not be surprised to see Garrard win the starting job from moore. He has the NFL experience, been selected to a couple pro bowls, and taken the Jags to the playoffs. When he is healthy, he is a very serviceable QB

Matt Moore needs to be undefeated this season to have a shot as being Miami full time starter. I feel bad for Moore but this franchise already invested heavily on Tanny, Matt Moore is gone even if he plays to a level in elite status ..

Actually this is what is going to make Finheaven unbearable this coming football season. If Tannehill doesn’t start right away many posters here will not be able to concede that the coaching staff knows more about our players than they do despite watching them in practice everyday. Also Tannehill is definitely Philbin and Sherman’s guy so if Moore or Garrard end up starting at least that won’t be conceived as a Wanny/Fiedler or Sparano/Henne type marriage that to many posters was the only reason those guys were starting because the backups were obviously better (which in the case of Matt Moore was actually right but normally it is not the case). My point is START TANNEHILL will be the answer to anything that happens to some posters and it will get annoying:

We go 4-0 then lose one, START TANNEHILL thread

One incomplete pass, START TANNEHILL thread

One Fumble, START TANNEHILL thread

Basically what you are saying is...it will be the typical Finheaven Message Board before, during and after each game.

Barring injury, I doubt you see much of Tannehil this season. He may play late in one-sided games but not much more then that. If Moore struggles you'll see Garrard.
