I think that would mean Saban likes Feeley and everyone here needs to shut up saying Feeley sucks, etc. However we go, we'll then know how Saban feels about Feeley to a certain extent. If we go QB later rounds then that just means Saban is looking for a project down the line. I really don't see how Saban takes a QB at #2, when neither are really that outstanding or worth that type of cash. Besides paying them Eli money, the guy won't play for 1-2 years of his mega contract. Just doesn't sound like something Saban does. BB wouldn't do it, so I don't think Saban would. Saban's the type of guy that seems to take a QB in the later rounds for cheap,like BB, then build them up like Brady and let him take over when Feeley blows up and wants mega money or fails to impress.

I just don't see us taking a QB saturday based on the type of Saban seems to be.

I think Saban is going to pick Edwards at number 2 and then pick a QB like Walter's or McPherson later in the draft.

Which QB coming out next year, other than Leinart, is better than Smith and Rodgers? You also have to consider that it is highly unlikely that we will be picking in the top 10.

Exactly. i addressed this in an earlier post. Remember guys they said the 1998 Draft wasn't rich in QB's and we ended up getting the best player in the NFL in that draft. Sometimes in the "not great" NFL drafts is when you get the main players.

Pat was one of those rare gems that fall into your lap in the "weak" draft years. If we are going to take a QB (and I believe we are), you take the best QB available with the highest pick you have. After all, it worked for us in 1983. :up:
