If Parcels and Co. can do this in 1 year ....

...I'm itching to see what they can do in the next 2 - 5 years!!

From a 1 win season to possibly an 11 win season overnight, this is simply amazing. Not many people saw this coming.

And we really are overachieving. Wait until we get the talent to match up with the top tier teams in the league. If we can be this good with lesser talent (not taking anything away from Bess and Camarillo, or our Linebackers and secondaries), wait until Parcels and Co. draft and bring in better players at those positions. None of our WR's are impact players (though Ginn could emerge as one if he continues to improve), and outside of Joey Porter, our defense remains a mostly no-name group.

With another year off adding more talent, we will see bigger plays on offense, and grittier defense.

Heck, earlier this season, we got a lot of national attention for our Wildcat gimicks, but now we are getting attention for being a team on the rise, who might very well make the playoffs.

Regardless of what happens this season, I can't wait to see what our brass can do to make us better next year. We aren't getting a high draft pick this year, but highly touted players may fall in our laps. And good free agents may be willing to play for us, seeing how we are improving leaps and bounds.

What positions do you think Parcels will target to improve this offseason?

Our schedule is hard next year but i feel good about this team, bright future to come and bright times now..enjoy this fellow Fin fans, this is a blessing and a real awesome feeling!! GO DOLPHINS!
 
I agree to that. Seeing how hard the guys are playing, and how unified they are, if we add an impact receiver, an impact Linebacker, and an impact DB, and still play like overachievers, we can go really far.

What'll it take to make us Superbowl contenders?

not being bias or anything but we can beat ANY team, any given sunday...we can come out hard and be overlooked and stomp them. Very hard task, but possible.
 
I don't want to jinx anything, but I cannot wait to see this team in a few years. We're nowhere near the complete vision Parcells and Co has.
 
Be careful. Remember the Browns last year, They overachieved and won 10 games and everyone thought they had built a team to win this year and the next. It's not that simple. It will only get tougher.
 
What stands out is that this is a TEAM. They play as a team on both sides of the ball.

The difference is that hopefully we can have confidence in the foundation. The way that the patsies, steelers and colts do. The browns overachieved with a soft schedule, which is honestly what we've done this year. But faith in Parcells leads us to believe that this is just the beginning of constant improvement. That's what separates teams in the long term and hopefully will keep us from having to worry every year that the honeymoon is over.
 
the difference between us and the browns i would have to say is defense, the browns had to outscore teams last year, we've proven we could win grind it out games. The browns got a major upgrade in Shaun Rogers, but besides that they really didn't do anything else to improve their d. Btw i trust Penny has a bit more consistency than Derek Anderson

Again,

The schedule as it looks now is irrelevant. If this year doesn't show how teams can go from contenders to jokes over night then i don't know what does. Yeah we play the AFC South, but maybe the Titans of next year become the Jags of this year.

I think Indy would be a VERY hard game...not saying we couldnt win but it would be tough. Peyton Manning and Co could shred this seconday after what Thigpen did and it would be hard to beat them in a shoot out. They would be a hard matchup IMO.

It is obvious that the players believe in each other and their head coach.

That is what teamwork is about and you are right my friend they are playing as a team. :woot:
