Just a Thought.... If Keller, Patterson, Gibson and Hartline were healthy the last 2 games do you think we would have clinched the playoffs? if you say yes then how much of the failure is on Ireland and how much on the coaches and players ???. my personal view is that YES we would be in the playoffs right now and the reasoning is pretty simple all the offense was built around those players with Wallace opening the field and 4 other guys making plays, when you loose that you score 7 points in two games, as simple as that, in just the jets game before hartline´s injury 70% of the pass attempts were going his way, I knew right there that loosing hartline was the ultimate blow. so again how much is it a GM failure and how much coaching/players failure ?? just a thought for further reasoning.

Ofcourse, but somehow Ireland would mess it up! Lol kidding about that part. I don't blame Ireland. He brought us players. It's the offensive line that needs help.

Every team has multitudes of injuries each year. If anything we were extremely lucky. It's football, people get hurt. Good teams have depth.

The O line played a perfect game against the jets and we couldn't score. without weapons you have no chance.

I think so, bc Gibson was ryans go to guy in the red zone and was really big for us, but everyone has injuries and it is what it is

Jets moved the ball and scored without any weapons. We just didn't make plays when they were available. Firing Ireland is not about these last two games, its was a season failure.

I think Keller is a much more dynamic player than he gets credit for. He might be done altogether now, but that guy could easily have been the difference of 2 games.

This team beat 4 of the 6 AFC playoff teams, it wasn't the lack of players holding us back at the end, it was COACHING!

this is the nail on the head. Good GM's draft/sign quality depth. We have a bunch of depth guys as regular starters. Carroll, Wheeler, Ellerbe, Miller, etc... most of the OL who start, wouldnt even be depth players on a good team..

ryan tannehill cost us the game against the jets and his awful deep ball probably was the difference in the bucs and carolina games as well. oline this and rb that, he had multiple opportunities to put more points on the board and he didnt. he had a pedestrian 81 rating this year and if people dont think we need to draft a qb this year to compete with him theyre nuts. through 2 years tannehill has been nothing but average and at times really really mediocre.

What if we had a GM that didn't give us with a completely thin team???

Almost every team in football could ask the same question about losing 3 starters. I'd start with Buffalo, but of course they kicked our ass twice with a 3rd string QB and missing receivers.

Sorry, didn't mean to be a tool, still not over that disgraceful finish.

Injuries happen to every team. Some teams get hit harder than others, but it's not an acceptable excuse. It's the GMs job to provide depth.
