Marshawn Lynch.

My issue with Miller is he goes down too quick. As soon as the defense touches him, he's on the ground. He can make that first cut, but his yards after contact are frustrating.

Moreno has a similar ability to Lynch in that he keeps his legs churning to get those extra yards, and would be much cheaper, but I question his health and durability. I was so happy when Lynch left the Bills, ill be even happier if Hickey can reel him in. He's a game changer and can cure a lot what ails our offense.

He wouldn't break the bank at his age, wouldn't mind it though. Gore is probably more likely if we sign a vet RB, still need to draft one too probably mid-round.

He has a bad back, is a distraction in the locker room, and contemplating retirement (Seattle has already made it clear he won't be welcomed back). No thanks

at some point that guys got to fall off the cliff with all that contact and never go down he plays with...when it does happen its gonna be swift like a ton of bricks...

hmmmm.......I think we are all big fans of the beast, but I would rather break the bank on the defensive side of the ball in FA's. That and the O-line.

Pair Gore with Miller and good things may happen...

i wouldnt touch frank gore...that looks to me like it's right around the corner bottom drops out...they already limit his carries an awful lot

We don't run the ball enough to justify spending huge money on a running back. A much better pickup for us if we're going to splurge on an offensive player in free agency would be Orlando Franklin. Franklin is a very good guard who is a scheme fit and can be our swing tackle. Given that Albert is recovering from an ACL/MCL tear, that's really valuable right now.

Bottoms dropping out, ton of bricks falling off of cliffs...it's a football apocalypse.

Gore would be exactly what we need. I love the way Miller is developing, but we need a power back that can get those tough yards, and if we can also get a RB that can do huge damage while getting those tough yards for a 1st down in that RB...Bonus.

I wouldn't want Gore as a bellcow RB, but to put behind Miller? Absolutely. They are already great friends and he could help mentor and develop Miller more, while still contributing to the team as a backup RB. I sure as hell would feel better with Gore in short distance situations than D. Thomas.

Even though that is true with all the wear and tear w/ the 49ers, because Miller will/should be the starter, If Miami can get him at the right price, using him sparingly will do wonders for his health... for at least one year at least.

With Philbin as coach we dont need to break the bank on anybody. its like throwing money down the toilet

Miller has improved and cemented his roster spot for 2015. The depth behind Miller is spotty at best and RB should be an area to reevaluate going forward.

Lynch is awesome but not for big money. Not even sure if he'd be a good fit for us really.

I'd wait for the draft and take the best RB available (3rd round or later) and if it's not there pickup a RB in free agency (OL>LB>TE=RB). O-line and defense are bigger concerns right now.
