For those nervous that the Ravens are going to win out, the Pittsburgh/Cincy game is key. If the fins take care of business in their last 3 games they would make it. If Cincy loses that game to Pitt and Baltimore does win out, Baltimore wins the division and Cincy is out all together. Most likely scenario is Baltimore losing at least 1 more.

i really dont see them beating the lions so that scenario is unlikely.
how can a 1-5 road team who are 6 point underdogs just go in and beat the lions in detroit?
its HIGHLY doubtful that they win that game

They have 1 road win? Ouch, I know which game that was.

Cincinatti is two games ahead of us. If Cincy loses one they would still be one game ahead of us so not sure how if they lose and we win out we get that spot as they would be 11-5, we would be 10-6. With that being said if Cincy loses one and we win out and Baltimore wins out we are out of contention, Cincy wins the division and Baltimore gets the last spot. If Cincy loses two, Baltimore wins out and we win out, we get that last spot over Cincy since we already beat them and they miss the playoffs.

simple.

say cincy loses to pitt this week or minn, that gives them a 5th loss. then cincy plays baltimore week 17. if baltimore wins out, that means they r 10-6 and will have beaten cincy in the process giving them a 6th loss, and since balt would have tiebreaker over cincy, balt would get division, cincy would slide into wildcard, but we would get tiebreaker due to head to head.

Check it out it's all there.

Cincy losing 1 of the next 2 games ensures us a 10-6 birth in the wildcard round. He's absolutely right. Remember if we can get a 10-5 Bengals team playing a 9-6 Ravens team in week 17 . . . . the loser is bounced and we are in.

I don't care what other teams do. I just want to finish the regular season by beating all three of our division rivals.

I see now. I didn't know cinch and Baltimore plays again

This is good and all and I've looked at all the scenarious especially Baltimore. But I'm trying not to think too much about it, as times in past seasons it seems like fins could sneak in for a wildcard only for them to lose the next few games. So basically I'm not too concerned about the scenarious as they don';t mean much if fins don't take care of business. The way I see it is, while Ravens have the tiebreaker, but I still feel fins control their own destiny. So if fins win, they should get in, because I can't see the ravens not losing a game, if not two. But fins need to do their job and win, even if ravens do lose. I think I'll take this even more seriousl if fins pass their biggest test and beat the daunted patriots who have beaten the fins the last few seasons. It's time for miami to get a W against Brady and the pats.

We could go 10-6 and not make it as well . . . just something to talk about to kick the breeze. I promised myself I wouldn't get serious about it until they beat PIttsburgh on the road in. They've done that, so we just gotta keep handling our business and let the chips fall.

They could, but the chances are much higher, actually probably a good chance fins get in if they win out. Ravens might not lose two games, but I really feel ravens will lose one game

So far everything has gone to plan from my vantage point. Over the last 4 weeks I had the Dolphins finishing 3-1, splitting between the Steelers and Pats and winning the last two divisional games. I had the Ravens finishing off 2-2 with the Vikings game being the most likely victory. At the end of the day I think we get in at 9-7, which means 2-1 in our last 3 and I think our chance of beating the Pats are better than they were before. No game's a given, but with the Ravens playing on the road against Detroit and Cincy, and then getting the Pats at home I think they finish 1-2. I still don't think they're a very good team, and I consider those 3 teams all better then them. But any given Sunday. If we take care of 2 out of 3 I think we'll be playing some bonus football!

The old fins would win the next 2, keeping pace with Baltimore, then after watching Baltimore lose and gain an opportunity to earn a playoff bid by beating Buffalo, would then lose to Buffalo. Lets hope this isn't still the old phins.
