lol, I know everyone is under the vast assumption that if Oakland takes Calvin Johnson that it gives Miami a much better chance to get Brady Quinn, but has anyone ever thought that it could actually hurt our chances to get a QB? Here's why I think this may be the case......... Lets say Oakland takes Calvin Johnson, and Jamarcus AND Quinn are both gone by the time we pick and we can't move up to get Quinn, if this happens then Oakland is probably still looking to get a QB and prolly in round 2 which is before we pick and they could end up taking the 2nd round talent at QB that we were hoping for. This scenerio not only stops us from getting Quinn, but also from getting one of the 2nd tier guys as well....... Thoughts???

You do make a great point. If they don't draft a QB with #1..they will be guaranteed to draft one in the very next pick.

excellent point.... the same can be said for Cleveland and Detroit

Even if your first round scenario plays out the way and the Raiders does take a QB in the second round like Trent Edwards, we could still take someone like Drew Stanton, Kevin Kolb or John Beck.

If Quinn is gone by pick #9 we select Levi Brown or Leon Hall. We can get a good QB in the 2nd Round - Kolb, Stanton, Edwards, or Beck. I prefer Kolb, but as long as we get a good one that can be groomed. If we trade for Green the rookie shouldn't have to start for 2 years. That's two years of learning and grooming. And then we have a possible franchise QB for the ten years following that.

Im going on record...though out on a limb.
I think the Raiders will take Brady Quinn with the #1 selection overall.

The point is mute (as my roomate would say) because no matter when specific QB's are drafted everyone knows that: Dolphins, Browns, Lions, and Raiders all want QB's....With that being said....If Jamarcus goes one and Brady Quinn goes two the Browns will draft a QB before we pick in the second round...So if we want Brady Quinn who is a top tier QB we better hope CJ goes #1...

TOTALLY DISAGREE...... i think thers a really really really slight chance they take him. they havent even spoke to him about contract negotiations where they have been talking contracts with calvin and jamarcus which shows that they dont really have any interest in quinn.

Might wanna check your sources, they definitely have talked to Quinn about a contract. In fact a big deal was made about how they low balled him with their first offer because they know how bad he wants to go #1.
