There is no excuse for quitting on your team ever, but if Williams case it may have helped the Fins out in the long run. Some of us on here hate him, some are happy he is back. To me he is a professional athlete, who like any of us is just a man and makes mistakes and rash decisions. However, if he had stayed the Dolphins would have probably had another mediocre season and finished with maybe 8 wins. Dont forget there were a lot more injuries and lousy O-line play all season. But by him quitting here is what the Dolphins get.
1) Get rid of Dave and Spielman
2) Finally get a head coach in Saban that looks like he knows what he is doing. As well as coordinators who are some of the best at their positions
3) Get a running back for the future.
4) Actually have a concept of trying to compete now and build for the future
5) And at least he is back and may help the Fins win games and if he does bring another draft pick to help with the building of a Super Bowl team
So as much as we may despise Williams quitting it may work out for the best for the Dolphins in the long run.
