Would we still be alive for playoffs?

Nope, unfortunately we're eliminated from playoff contention already.
I think the Pittsburgh win is what eliminated us....

I meant if San Diego lost last week would we still be alive? They were losing 21-0.

It did but I'm wondering if it would have eliminated us if San Diego had lost.
Yeah, it was the Pittsburgh win that officially eliminated us based on tiebreakers.

Oh, don't do this to yourself, the last thing you want to do is see us win next week only to say that if we would have beat the ravens, ne, or any other game, we'd be in right now. Too painful.

I said over a month ago the Green Bay game is the 1 that's gonna keep us out. Not sure if we'd control our own destiny if we won that game or not but it was a game we had won and gave away and figured it would haunt us at the end.

Had we found a way to stop Rodgers late in the game and beaten Green Bay we would be in the hunt....add the Lions game that we gave away and we should be 10-5 and in the playoffs. Just a couple plays ended our season. :rolleyes2:

Sadly I think the whole site thought that too. You can't let those games get away, playoff contenders finish out those games with wins.

baltimore is that game. according to all simulations, if we had beaten balt or ne, and both minn and jets, basically going 3-0 at home down the stretch, we would have made it most likely.
however, we ****ed up vs baltimore, and we will be sitting home again.
Doesn't matter now anyway.

I am sick and twisted just like OP and I'm guessing that all of us being Dolphins fans are required to have that in us to one degree or another.
I'll play along and make you even more upset by giving you the scenario in order to torture yourself this weekend. The answer is yes. Even with Pitt winning last week we would be alive for the 6 seed with everything breaking the way it did, except of course for the SD comeback.
Results we would need this week:
-Beat the Jets
-SD beats KC
-Texans lose to Jags
-Ravens lose to Browns
This would have left a 3-way tie with the Ravens and Chargers (possibly a 4 way tie with the Bills, but we're ahead of them so if we won our game, they'd be out anyway). There were no head-to-head sweeps, we beat the Chargers who beat the Ravens who beat us. Ravens would be 1st out due to AFC record. Then we would be in over Chargers due to the head-to-head win.
Enjoy this alternate reality!!
