If we would have won against Indy, assuming everything else played out as it has, would we not be considered a top 2-3 team in the AFC?

My point is, we are basically the same team whether Ginn would have caught that ball or not, but the way we are perceived would have been drastically different had we actually won that game.

Of course, this means absolutelty nothing as most solid teams probably have 'what if' moments. How we finish out the remainder of the season will determine how good of a team we actually are. I just think it's interesting how one play turned us form a legitimate super bowl contender to merely an above avergae team fighting for our playoff lives.

Will we get another shot at Indy? I sure hope so.

Imagine if Ginn caught that pass AND we held off the Saints. We'd on the top of the NFL.

Talk about ironic how the Dolphins have been the closest to beating both of these undefeated teams.

If McKelvin doesn't fumble that ball in week 1, we'd be in control of the AFC East right now and also perceived differently.

If Ronnie doesn't get it in the endzone against the Jets Monday Night, we'd be essentially out of the playoffs right now.

There are a lot of "if" moments in the NFL throughout the season, spanning all teams and all games. You can pick and choose which "if moments" are most important, but for every one that swung one way there was an equal and opposite swing in another moment.

This team is much better than its record indicates, as we know, but to everyone else, you're only as good as your record.

You can also "if" 30 other plays every game as well, missed tackles, misses interceptions, shoe string tackles etc..... but Ginn will always get the blame for his one "if". Not saying this is a Ginn bash but there's alot more plays leading up to that moment that are just as important but everyone remebers the last one. It's like the guys that jump on the pile at the end of a play and get credit for the tackle I guess.

i'm more upset about the steaming hot pile we laid on the field in buffalo. Win that game and wed be in the drivers seat in our divison.

Where it would be nice to get the bounces letting that one go really stings. Even if we still make it, it was a disturbing loss that could/should have been avoided. Ricky throwing in the red zone, wft!!!

you lost me at trading RB and TG for a 2nd and 4th.

If Ted Ginn doesn't run those 2 kick backs at the Meadowlands they lose a division game to the Jets.

Imagine if Dorothy hadn't been wearing ruby slippers. Scarecrow might never have gotten his brain.

and possibly if he doesn't catch that TD against us in Miami you lose that game. He may not be what you guys expected but he's still made some key plays for you this year and w/o him you'd probably have another loss or 2.

If if's and but's were candy and nuts it'd be christmas all year long.........

If you want to discuss if's go ahead and discuss the big ones, you know like missing on Boldin/Brees(x2)/Brady et al.

31 other teams missed on Boldin and Brees....let it go....

The more frustrating thought is what if the officials had rules correctly on that Darren Sharper fumble following the interception. Ginn screwed up, hustled down field and made a play. That play changed the momentum of the game and was the biggest officiating travesty of the NFL season.

Hindsight is 20/20.....there are numerous plays throughout a season where you wish you could have a "do over." My biggest Dolphins "do over" would be the 1974 Sea of Hands playoff game against the Raiders.....we coulda/shoulda won this game and very likely could have won three straight Superbowls. There is no way Stabler should have thrown that TD..it was the luckiest fluke throw ever. My only happiness is Al Davis and the Raiders have been absolutely horrible the past seven years, so there is justice in the world.
