Does this mean the marlins will not be playing on our football field anymore.

Man I get tired of looking at the infield when I should just be seeing nice green grass.

No more runningbacks or ppl especially kickers having to worry about slipping on the damn sand.

I can't remember where I saw this, sun sentinel, herald or PBP..... but it would be nice if it did indeed come to fruition.

anybody have any insight?

Wayne has already said he isn't extending the Marlins lease, and the Marlins just got a deal for a new stadium too.

Actually it probably mean that there will be more traffic on that turf but I am sure the groundskeepers have been consulted to see if it can handle it.

The turf drains quickly which is why the field probably will be OK even if it rains on Saturdays game.

I don't think the two issues are connected at all... and Joe has it right...H.Wayne said no mo.

dude expect it for atleast 2 more yrs.......if the marlins get a new stadium i think that will mean we wont have an infield......kinda an easy question to answer there

ya awesome... nothing quite like stating the obvious bro.
Having not known that the marlins were getting a new stadium or reading it anywhere in the article, I didn't know if they would than play where the canes play or what.

but now that you put it that I totally get it now!!
new baseball stadium, no infield on the football field. got it.

I haven't heard anything about the marlins finally striking a stadium deal. Do any of you have a link to that?

I like both sports, and I like the marlins (not so much their owner), but I can't wait till they get the hell out of Dolphins Stadium. I have seen way too many bad things happen to my beloved phins because of that damn dirt

We have one of hte best turf in the league!...
...for last four games of the season.

I'd like a link about the canes "moving north" too. So no more Orange Bowl? If they can play in a real stadium, that may help recruiting a bit.

Yea, I didn't know the canes were moving north. Last I read they were getting the city of Miami to renovate the OB.

I just want the marlins out of our stadium, im sick of the dirt. We get a real feild for like 3-4 games every year, and this year it will be even less because of the loss of a home game to london.

Ah, so UM might play football in Pro Player (always will be to me) and the Marlins will be in the Orange Bowl turned into a baseball only park? So now those poor UM students have twice as far to drive? lol
