If the Dolphins do decide to pursue a "Franchise QB" whether it be RG3, Manning, or Matt Flynn (who I consider nothing more than starting QB competition for Moore), do you think that Miami could field calls and trade Matt Moore for a 2nd or 3rd round pick? There are teams such as the Cardinals, Jaguars, Minnesota, Washington, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Seattle and EVEN THE NEW YORK FRIGGIN JETS, that could be in the Market to bring in a QB such as Matt Moore who's 16 TD and 9 INT and 87.1 QB rating was much better than most other non-playoff team QB's. What I'm trying to say is that if Quarterback's such as AJ Feeley, Kevin Kolb, and Matt Cassel who were all highly-hyped mediocre QB's who were all traded for significant Draft Pick value, maybe it could be our turn to roll the dice. I believe in the value of having a decent backup QB (as we all learned from this season) but I was just thinking about the different scenario's this off-season could unfold. So what do you all think?

Matt Moore is more valuable to us right now than any other franchise. We may be able to get a 5th round pick for him at the most at this time.

We need to keep Moore he's signed cheaply for next year and if we get a rookie qb Moore will be in a qb competition with the rookie.

If we get Flynn we need moore as a backup incase of injury

You need to have a strong back up QB in this league, a guy that can keep the ship a float if a short term injury happens to your #1. M.Moore makes nothing money wise but could start in a pinch and play well enough for us to win so why would you want to trade that?

I can't see us trading him even if we bring in Flynn or Draft RG3. Now if Manning came over (assuming healthy), then there's an outside chance though I'm not a fan of that. I do think he's worth a 3rd if a team gets desperate given the importance of QB position. He's proven he's a capable starter though he's definitely upgradeable.

OP:

I hope not. Trade Henne for a bag of fritos and keep the proven commodity.

GO PHINS~!

Keep him. If the starter goes down we all won't be on suicide watch.

Matt Moore is just the kind of guy you want battling for a QB position. Don Strock 2.0.

Moore is not going anywhere, sorry. He is signed cheap and could be a very serviceable backup.

He is not going anywhere... He will be our #1 going into the season with someone (Flynn?) brought in to compete...

Get rid of him now. No need to waste any more time with him (wasted too much time with Henne already). He will never be our starter. Our backup should be someone who could possibly be our starter in the near future.

If they sign Flynn, then Flynn is starting. Guaranteed. You don't spend the kind of money it will take to get him to bring him in and have him compete with a guy making peanuts for the starting job.

I dont care who we draft or sign, i'd like to see what moore can do with a full offseason as a starter. Like said, he's signed one more year, to a deal that was criticized last year, but now is seen as a major find and huge steal. You'd have to assume Moore has atleast as much value on the market as Flynn does, right ? But the packers dont hold Flynn's rights unless they tag him. Moore can be aquired on his current deal, where as Flynn would be signed to a big ole contract. We've got to be happy to have Moore, whether its for keeping(potentially resigning) or trading him.

Matt Moore is not going anywhere, he is cheap at 1.5 million and still has not hit his prime at 26 years old. Plus he still has a ton of upside and he is a gamer which is great. The players love him also, if not for our week line play he would have lit it up even more. Plus he is the exact type of QB Philbin looks for to run his offense so he should be a perfect fit, let's give this kid another year to see if he can benefit from Philbin's coaching which I believe he will. You have to be an idiot to unload him, it's called grooming QBs something fans and coaches alike here don't seem to understand.

honest answer...hell no...that said with his contract being he's so cheap for another season doesn't make sense for us to trade him anyways...best case late round pick return if you did
