Okay, everyones knows the worst case scenario where Ricky Williams is banned for the entire year,
Now, do you stand pat and let Ronnie Brown be the focal point in the ground game and hope he can handle all the carries coming his way?

Do you pursue other options such as a proven veteran like Edgerrin James who you know can carry the work load?

What about adding another RB in this year draft?

Here is a guy who might be worth looking at when we pick if we stick with Ronnie as the feature back and use this guy for short yardage.

LenDale White, RB, USC -- The "other" back at USC, he's a power runner who can rip off long runs at 237 pounds. White scored 57 touchdowns in three seasons, including 21 last year. He is a good short-yardage runner, but he also has the ability to break long runs. Think Jerome Bettis early in his career. :dolphins:

I think White would be a very smart move but I also think they have more weak spots to fill (i.e. the O-line)

Lendale White? He's a first round RB, he's going to be a starter on some other team. IMO, we should target Deshuan Foster.

Now that would be a nice signie if we can grab Foster. I doubt he will be wanting to come here anyway because he won't be a starter for us and I just don't see the Panthers letting him go.

I think that we should resign Sammie Morris and just let him be the main backup guy.

I am assuming the Dolphins address the offensive line in FA and QB for that matter. They have mentioned Le Charles Bentley at center and Drew Brees at QB, which nobody here will argue about obtaining.

if we draft lendale white id be willing to give everyone on this site a million dollars.....
No way we draft another 1st round RB.. that would be insulting to Ronnie..

if we get another RB at all, it will be LATE LATE in the draft

les keepy sammy morris

he brings alot of versitility and i think he can be a very effective short yardage RB

Foster as a starter isn't a good idea. He can't stay healthy. The latest word is the Panthers want to keep Foster, but that doesn't mean much.

Another option is Michael Bennett, the Vikings already said they weren't resigning him.

I'm a bigger fan of LenDale than of his "other counterpart", and I think he'll have an immediate impact on any team that drafts. But despite my appreciation for him, I agree we got bigger issues to be answered in the draft. Specifically on the o-line, qb situation, and defensive holes.

Why couldn't LenDale play in the same back field with Ronnie Brown like they did with Ricky last season? After all, he is more like a fullback and he did share the same back field with Reggie Bush and he is unstoppable near the goal line.

Since when do you pick a fullback at #16 overall. And before everyone corrects me to say he is a running back, look at the quote above. Take a look at these late round prospects:
1.) Cedric Humes- VA Tech 6'1 233
2.) Ryan Gilbert- Houston 5'10 230
3.)Derrick Ross-Tarleton State 6'0 238
4.) J.R. Lemon-Stanford 6'1 225

I know this is getting off the topic a little, but here is another guy I think is worth a look when we pick.

Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State -- He heads what isn't a great wide receiver class. At 5-11, he isn't a tall receiver, but he has that deep speed that teams love. He is also a kick returner.

The kick returner thing is an added bonus and wish the Dolphins could get his teammate... Ted Ginn Jr.

Hey, a guy can dream can't he? :D
