If the Dolphins wanted to move on from Tua Tagovailoa, there are not many options

I was listening to a sports talk show today and I think it was Pat Kirwin who said coaches get 2 years, maybe 3. Then you are looking for someone else.
I think Tua, McDaniel, and Grier are safe for 2024. If we play poorly (cant beat good teams, etc) I think Grier is gone. Maybe Mac and the new FO and coach team decide on QB.
All three need to be gone if they don't improve next season as far as beating good teams.

They will need to win a playoff game next year or the whole group might be gone.

Cousins isn’t an upgrade. At all.
Did you watch Cousins make plays last year in 8 1 score wins where he made great throws all year. He made throws Tua can't make.
He is better thrower of the football. He cant scramble either but his pocket presence and movement is better than Tua's. Once Tua cant throw to his first read he stinks. That is reality.
Cousins is far from elite. But he is in the Goff, Stafford type of QB that is good enough.

The Browns just got terrific QB production from a guy off the couch.

Half the starting QBs in the league went down this year.

PLENTY of options.

You pay Tua $50M ACV and then you have no options...

His production is so terrific he threw back to back pick sixes and is now back on the couch.

And how many wins?

And have you weighed those wins against his compensation?

But totally, get the same production, just pay $50M a year for it...

Tua stinks after his first read because he has guys in his face. Cousins isn’t even getting it off to his first read half the time with the line we had this year with injuries. Cousins with one good Achilles with our line only ends in one way and it isn’t good.

He sucks in primetime and is 1-4 in the playoffs so that fixes nothing compared to Tua’s supposed problem except Tua is young and healthy while cousins is old and hurt. Did I mention he’ll cost more money as well?

I have no idea what a 'Dale-Paul Jordan' is, but he might as well have just posted that fan fiction to finheaven lol.
Word of advice, well three points. If it's a Phinphanatic link, don't click it. If it involves Brian Miller, don't click it. If it is a link from this OP, don't click it.

Preach, it's always garbage...

So you honestly think that Joe Flacco, in 2024 would produce equivalent to Tua, but at a lower cost?

Have you seen Flacco play for the Broncos and Jets?

I think he was in just the right situation at the right time and caught a last gust of air. I predict he won't come close to duplicating it in 2024.
