If the Heat win tonight, do you think its a lock for them to go onto the finals? It's pretty devestating for Detroit if we take both games at the Palace. Call me a homer, but I feel we take tonight game, lose one outta two at home, and take the series in 5 with a close win in Detroit. I know the Pistons are the defending Eastern Conference Champs, but with the way they are playing right now, but IMO we seem to be too hot and too focused right now to let them get back in their groove.

Just an interesting stat....the Pistons have scored 25 or more points only three times in the past 22 quarters, two of those times were against us in Game 1.

Your thoughts?

You can never count out a team like Detroit until you've put them down for the fourth time. They've come back from 3-1 deficits before, won two 7 game series when down 3-2, etc. Winning tonight would be huge, but it'd only be half the battle

Yes, the Pistons would be done. They're not taking 4 of 5 from Miami, particularly with three of those games on the road.

I see where your coming from, but Phunwin makes too good of a point. They are not going to take 4 outta 5 games against us no matter how good they are. We're too good to let them do that.......I take that back, Wade is too good to let them do that :cooldude:

If the Heat win tonight..like I said in the other thread..start game planning for the mavs/suns.

I think so. It's patheic how the poorly the Pistons are playing at this point. I thought that maybe the Cavs-Pistons series was a fluke to them, but to seeing them play the same way is something else. They better get themselves back to season form, instead of playoff form of this season.

if we do its certainly a VERY good omen, but done? i wouldn't book it, the Pistons do come from behind very well, and *knock on wood* you never know about injuries at an ill opportune time

Up 2-0? 3 games at home? Would they be done...not officially.. but they would most likely be done.

They would need Isiah Thomas, Bill Lambieer and Vinnie Johnson with Rodman off the bench to come back against us being down 2-0.

They woul dhave to beat SHAQ 4 out of 5 with 3 games in Miami.

Yeah..done.
