So, if Miami wins this week and Baltimore loses, we're in the playoffs. But if we lose in week 17 and Baltimore wins in week 17, we are out of the playoffs because Baltimore has the first tie breaker on us which is head to head games. Am I missing something?

If we win out we are in no matter what. Period point blank. No one else matters but us!!! win out Miami is in.

We control our destiny which means if we win we're in. All the possible other scenarios are complicated and range from being eliminated this Sunday to winning the division and getting a first round bye.

If Miami wins out we will be 10-6...if Baltimore wins out they will also be 10-6. However, Baltimore will win the AFC North with that record, knocking the Bengals down. Even if the Bengals finish 10-6, Miami would get the #6 seed due to head to head with Cincy.

Therefore, Miami gets in for sure with two wins.

But Miami CAN clinch this weekend if Miami wins and BOTH cincy and baltimore lose. If that happens, it won't matter if Miami beats or loses to the Jets.

Me and my Father have already agreed to scrounge up the money and book it to South Florida for week 17!!! And a few of my buddies want to as well. The only thing I'm worried about is that the last 5 Dolphin games I attended...we lost. SO I can interpret this as Me being a curse, or that ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME I GET TO SEE OUR TEAM WIN A GAME!! I expect playoff atmosphere that week with so much on the line. Man I hope we slaughter Buffalo this week...

I HAVE the answer! And a solution. The Dolphins (almost always, 7-3) win when I go to the game. Therefore, send me the tickets and everyone wins! = )
