They know we haven't stop the run and that we'll be looking hard to stop it. We might even start with 8 in the box. Now watch the ravens run some play action early and it'll be wide open cause we're going to commit to stopping the run. If that works then we'll start to slow down and as we back off they will start to run it. So, what do we do? This might sound crazy but we might have to start off with base defense and see what the game plan for the ravens is. If we over commit to stopping the run our DBs will get burn. Thoughts?

WE need to hit flaco and sack him or we have no chance of winning this game.

I love this mentality.....we beat the Patriots.....shut out the Chargers.....had Green Bay, Denver and Detroit beat and lost close games....and now the Ravens are unbeatable?

Your ppoint is valid however we had a pretty fully healthy team when we played in those games.

Ravens are 100% beatable. the packers, Patriots and broncos have multiple losses and imho Ravens arnt even close to those teams . We need to start fast ie: the first 2 quarters and feed Lamar miller let the man run.

Here's another thing no one is talking about and should help the defeatists around here. Gary Kubiak is the OC for the Ravens...former Houston Texans coach...the same Houston Texans this franchise has never beat.

It's easy to spot the people who actually watch the games & watched the MNF game. :chuckle: The jests ran up and down the field with no QB and no passing game. We are still playing our 3rd string DB who was just signed. Everytime the Ravens fake the reverse it will be 'Hold your breathe time'. Everytime they run a play action pass.... :alert:

Our defense has not played as well in the last 2 games as they did earlier and I'm talking about the front 7. There's no way to spin that. I'm not saying we can't beat the ravens. Only saying that in order to beat them we need our defense to play much better.

Our offense has bogged down when playing teams with tough, physical defensive lines (Buffalo, Detroit, Jacksonville). 16-20 pts won't cut it in this game.
The Ravens pose a different challenge to the Phins. They can run the ball to keep our pass rush at bay (just like Denver did) and a defensive front that can slow down our offense. Flacco is a better QB than Stafford IMO and can exploit our defense with big plays on play action if there is no pass rush.
Phins have to jump out to an early lead and make the Ravens more one dimensional.
This is a team that is difficult to beat coming from behind because they can run out the clock and they can pressure the QB when an offense is one dimensional.
What is encouraging to me is how the Chargers were able to beat them with no running game. The Ravens have also had a relatively easy schedule this yr, so maybe they are not as good as in years past.

Danny, Have you ever seen Coyle start out a game that way?

...thats what I thought.

We are a second half team who sees what they are doing and then we blitz accordingly or then add guys up to the box.

Welcome to finheaven. Lol They are clueless about football. Even Vegas thinks we win by 3. Nothing is good on this site. I just read positive stuff, and stay away from idiots. Probably Jets FANS posting it. Can't be a Dolphin fan to say the Ravens are going to win

I'm nervous about the defense as well. I think we need to get up early and put pressure on the Ravens offense to score points and hopefully pass so we can pin our ears back and get after Flacco. We can't allow them to be balanced.

Honestly it's very surprising to me Vegas favors us. Our complete inability to stop the run against the Jets and the very depleted secondary seem to play right into the Ravens' hands, big-time.

No its easy to spot fans who think one or two games of poor play in a particular area translates to the same result forever....like you my friend.

The team will tighten up the run defense....adjustments will be made and they will focus on it.

The Jets are a good quarterback away from being a very good team overall..coaching was the biggest flaw in that game.

We will beat the Ravens and the negative nancy's like you will be exposed again for what you are....defeatists.
