If the trade is final and Marshall is gonna get suspended Ireland is 'the beast'

There is a long list of Marshall incidents. I think Philbin didn't want his antics, and Ireland & Co. were tired of sitting on pin needles everyday wondering if today was going to be the day that Marshall did something stupid to get suspended or killed. That may sound overly dramatic, but drama and bad things seem to follow this guy. Yes Ireland traded for him, he tried, which is his job. He also acknowledged it was a mistake, and got out of it — while freeing up cap space and getting something in return. He dropped too many passes, had to much to say, had too many dumb penalties. He has #1 talent, but his other actions take away from his as a player. Philbin said in his opening press conference, to paraphrase — we want men with high moral character — the beast did not fit that.

Even saying all that which I agree to an extent, shame on Ireland for trading Marshall away without a backup plan at WR. I am sorry i dont feel L Robinson is considered a backup plan.

Nawledge, I completely disagree with your opinion. The dolphins organization and its' fan base once again have become witness to another error created by Jeff Ireland. This isn't a minor error but a rather large error (similar to Pat White, numerous OL free agent pick ups, Chad Henne, Daniel Thomas). Once again, Ireland is allowed to slither through another mess he has created. We can not have a winning organization, that is respected, when the GM is an arrogant fool. Ross needs to stop sucking on the Ireland teat and realize he can upgrade this team with a better/competent GM.

I'm so glad he's gone. by the way, the report I read this morning says that Marshall punched a woman. Marshall's attorney unsurprisingly says Marshall wasn't at fault, that someone threw at bottle at his wife.


Look, regardless of what happened, the guy gets involved in way too much drama. He constantly puts himself in horrible situations, and just won't ever learn. Good riddance.

Tell me, how does crow taste? Did you read the report. Look I'm not a big fan of Ireland by no means, but if we hadn't traded Marshall and this news came out, myself and many other fans would be clamoring to lose this liability.

There's a reason we got rid of Marshall like it wash trash pick up day.
