With all these rumoured/potential trades is this a sign the current coaches and front office see enough in Rosen to start the rebuild early or just good opportunities to gain talent?

I personally don’t see the rush with evaluating Rosen. I personally would give him this year to build confidence, get rid of bad habits, let the coaching staff gain experience and let him learn the playbook. Then build up the OL and have a year where he can evaluated fairly. No need to use this years picks trading up. We could just back log the picks by trading for future picks and put the process of drafting a QB off until 2021 after a fair evaluation and judgement on Rosen. No one in any draft class is guaranteed anything.

By leaving it a year you also give the coaching staff time to improve their system and gain experience which is nearly as important for them as the players themselves.

I think it has more to do with adding talent at a crucial position, maybe for a below value cost.

I think it’s faith in the fact that they’ve hedged their bets the best they can. They’ll have basically gotten two top 10 QBs within two years.

Either Rosen shows you enough to wait until 2021 or beyond, or he doesn’t and you get one of the top 2 QBs this coming draft. At the end of all of it, you should have a franchise QB that you’re confident to build around for at least 3 seasons and hopefully beyond.

I don't think it's particularly relevant to their faith in Rosen unless they trade away a first round pick.

If this Clowney trade happens, I think they might lose a lot of low-scoring games. The D might have a chance to be pretty nasty, pretty fast.

I will be happy if we trade for an elite young DE or OL.would provent us using a first round pick next year on one.

I think it says a lot about Rosen because if they had no faith in him I doubt they’d be looking at Clowney, instead going full steam with a tank.

I mean if your adding Clowney to the 2019 roster for maybe 13-14 games, your not such a bad roster.

Unless Clowney starts playing O-Line, I don't know that he amounts to much in the win column *next* year.

It says they have seen enough in Rosen in 3 preseason games to anoint him the leader of this team. They should just give him the keys and let the joy ride to stardom and chips begin!

I believe the Dolphin Staff is hoping hard that Rosen show to be the real stuff, and succeeds...As I believe every Dolphin fan should also cross their fingers on it being a reality.

True we have a lot of picks, and there is some very impressive talent at QB in 2020, but 1st off just because they were Superstars in College, does not guarantee all them or any of them success in the NFL, as skill level is much higher, serious injury much higher, wrong coaching possibility, Greed for money overtakes competitiveness and will to get better.

Also, if Miami finds Rosen to be the one, Miami goes next year loaded with multple high draft picks, where they can fix many holes in one draft if all goes well.

This is why Rosen starting is imperative to the success of Miami. With Rosen, if Miami proves to be competitive this year, Miami attempts next year to in one fell swoop, Miami loads themselves to make huge noise in 2020, if they fail...Miami is in place to get one of the top QBs in the draft.

Much in our case is a game or 2. He would certainly fill a major role on the this roster instantly, if we chose for it to be instant.

I share the same concern about our OL that everyone else does, however half the league is concerned about their OL situations right now.

If your getting Clowney you can give him the Rosen treatment and bring him along slowly knowing his big value is 2020 and beyond. Not that I wouldn’t play him as soon as he was up to speed.

It wouldn’t be like Khalil Mack’s situation where they paid an arm and a leg in draft compensation and you need immediate returns.

I wonder if Dallas would be open to a La'el Collins trade.

He's in the last year of his deal and I am not sure there will be enough money left to go around for him with Demarcus Lawrence's deal; Dak, Zeke and Amari's expected deals.

If they had that much faith, wouldn't you think they would be trying to upgrade the protection for him? He is going to play one way or another.

Cautiously optimistic re Rosen. I'm still of the belief that we got a potential steal in the trade with Arizona to get Josh for just a late 2nd round Draft pick.
