and the trade is a player for player deal what position do you think should be addressed (e.g., defensive back; tight end)? I know Saban will pursue draft picks, but once again think player for player trade.

Draft picks. I'm all up for trading Kevin Vickerson or Jeff Zgonina for draft picks.

CK, you're right on ... as DL is our deepest position, baring an injury over the next few weeks .... obviously, prefer to keep Vickerson - all things being equal due to age ... but ....
WR is pretty deep as well .... so, as you say, Gibson would be nice as the #5 right now .... but isn't a necessity at this point ....
Of course, if we went in the opposite direction, OL and DB would be our interests right now .... most notably RG .... as Anderson is surely not shining at this point

I don't quite understand what you mean. It has been reported that Miami has had some discussion about a trade with a couple of teams (for wrs and dl). I am just asking the community what position player you might want in exchange (knowing Saban will likely seek a draft pick anyway).PhinsRock said:

Yea, darn Saban for taking the next quality player at his available pick, rather then overspending draft picks to get only a marginily better player.
