If Tua Looks Bad...

Tua playing is not about instant gratification. It is about the Future. With that said, he should play better than Fitzpatrick, and with their semi-ground game and improving defense, it is status quo. Mia fans who expect Mahomes-like numbers, are not realistic

Tua will play well and only improve as the season progresses. This is our future and he will elevate the players around him in the very near future

It depends on the circumstances.

Does he look bad because the O-line is being overwhelmed?

Does he look clueless about where to go with the ball?

Is he forcing things because we are behind by double digits?

My thoughts would be different, for different cases.

Generally speaking, nothing that happens today, aside from another serious injury, will alter my expectations much.

Ask me again in mid December.

Lets cross that bridge when/if we get there shall we?

Don't worry if he looks bad, he's a Rookie and no you do not got back to fitz, this game for this team isn't about whether win or loose it's about how he handles the team so please no doomsday predictions, because we want him to be superman.

Honestly there are a bunch excuses already built in if Tua played poorly today such as....

- It's his first start in the NFL

- He's playing against the best defensive player in the league

- He's playing against a top 5 defense in the NFL

- The OL is shaky at times and missing its starting LT

- He's coming off of a major injury and hasnt played a game in a year

And many more...

I'm not saying he Should play poorly because of these things but I dont think anyone should panic just yet if he does. We all know there will be mass hysteria on Finheaven though if he doesnt light it up. With all of that said however I think he will play well and expect a Miami win. I really believe our defense will give Goff some major problems.

IL be fully aware it's his first start against a HOF DT and an all pro corner. And IL be fully aware many loons on the internet will overreact

Its like last week with his brother when there were loads of hot takes after he had a bad debut, even on FH. Didn't see any threads after he scored 5 TDs this week

I will give him 7 years to get his act together like RT17.

8 years. Seriously, Tua plays bad in one game, use Houston's pick on Fields or trade everything for Trevór.

Fans that expect Herbert like numbers will probably be disappointed. The Chargers are loaded with talent. They have simply under preformed because of injuries to star players for a few years now. Allen, Williams, Henry and Ekeler make for a very talented skill group for a young guy to throw to.
