Negatives:
The offensive line was terrible, to much pressure, not enough running lanes. It was embarrassing to see Jake get manhandled like he did. He is so hard on himself I think he will rebound.
Fasano, I am sure he won't sleep tonight those fumbles were costly and he knows it.
Penny knows he could have played better and the interception was a bad throw. However he is another one that is hard on himself I expect him to step it up.
The play calling was terrible, I dont know if it was because the Oline was getting out played or bad game planning. I think Sparano has to consider the no huddle Penny would excel in that like he has in the past.
Positives:
Ronnie and Ricky run hard, and Ricky looked good, however they had to get their yards running to the outside.
Bess looked good and should have been more involved. Ginn made a couple of nice catches and needs to continue to go into the middle where he is not expected to go.
Defense played the run really well. As the game went on the got better on the pass defense I believe they are going to be a good defense.
Joey played the run better than I have seen him in a long time and so did JT. Merling was a monster today, he is a player. Smith was questionable but Vontae looked good, especially coming up on the run support.
For as bad as Penny looked he still completed over 70 percent of his passes and averaged over 7.5 yards per reception. Acceptable if you win, poor if you have to play from behind.
I thought for the most part the pass defenders were aleays where the ball was thrown, they were so close to making some really good plays.
There is alot more to add to this and please do but if you are going to come in here and talk about sitting Fasano, Penny, or Ginn or any other nonsense that is not going to happen after one game just do it in another thread. This thread is for supportive Dolphans not the ones that enjoy the fins by bashing them.
