Its not about the result or the competition. Henne is regularly bashed for his robotic style and inability to make plays. After a while, it seems, even during practice, that he is simply unable to do what needs to be done. Tonight, he proved otherwise. Whether through reading the defense, properly leading the receivers, moving through his progressions, audibling, or moving the chains with his legs, Henne played one of his best halves of football for us. Will it be remembered in several weeks or months? No. But it can certainly be appreciated now for what it was/is....the slightest glimmer of hope that, when things go according to design, Henne can lead our team. I'm not drinking the kool-aid just yet and he still has a lot to prove, but at least tonight was a step in the right direction. And for that, he should be praised.
