we've all been racking our brains on how the dolphins can make the playoffs. the truth of the matter is if we cant beat the titans then really there is no need for us to be in the playoffs. these are the type of games we will face in the playoffs. if we cant beat the titans then we wont be able to beat any of the playoff teams. our last 2 home games shouldnt be a problem but sundays game will show what the dolphins are made of. i cant wait

So by this philosophy only undefeated teams belong in the playoffs! I understand your point but "Any Given Sunday". Does Oakland deserve to be in the playoffs because they beat Cinci etc.....

We need to win this any way we can, deserved or not. Nobody cares how you get in the playoffs just getting there anything can happen. There are zero teams in the NFL I would be worried to face in the playoffs, last year you could argue Baltimore was the worse matchup we could have had but this year there are no bad matchups. Just get there and let's see what could happen.

Doesn't matter what we deserve or what business we have - lose and we're not going.

Disagree with original post. TN is one of the hottest teams in football. Since VY has been behind center they have just 1 loss, and that is to the Colts. They have the best RB in the game, arguably, and are playing with a chip on their shoulder due to their lousy start. This is precisely the kind of team you don't want to play right now. Yes, there are better teams, but there are also teams out there with better records than TN that I would much rather play Sunday. Winning this game on Sunday is indeed a must, and is the toughest game we have left this season, due to how good they have become, the fact it's on their turf, and the fact that although they have a "shot" at the playoffs, they really have nothing to lose.

I shouldn't have said I disagree with original post - I should have simply stated I think there are playoff teams we could face which aren't as potent and imposing as TN is, provided VY plays.

I don't know if I agree with this post. This game against the Titans sacres the crap out of me. Chris Johnson is so good that the Titans can beat any team they play. I would be very cautious by taking the Titans lightly.

The guy's still going to be faster than our LBs... :chuckle:

That being said, imagine how much faster CJ is than them, too!

This game will be the tell of the tape for Miami this season. If the offense comes out strong and stays that way and if the defense comes out strong and stays that way, we'll win this game and begin a 2-game run to the playoffs.

Lose this game and Miami's hopes for post-season play this season all-but-flush and then we can stop being distracted from what we really want to discuss...and that is next year's draft and FA.

After an 0-3 start I'm just glad we are in the hunt at this point. It's making the season intriguing. I do not expect us to win the Superbowl and if we beat Ten this weekend I'll try to be happy regardless the result of our last two games. After an 0-3 start I would have taken being in the hunt with 2 weeks left if I had known we'd fall out week 16. At the very least we have seen progress and they've kept it interesting.

Doesn't matter what we deserve or what business we have - lose and we're not going.

we basically are depending on Pittsburgh to beat Baltimore to get a wild card....even if we win out.

In that scenario, all other things being equal, we could lose to Tennessee and still get in if we beat Houston and Pitts.

If our record isnt good enough to make the playoffs, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. And that means beating Tennessee, Houston, and Pittsburg.
