Lets pretend you are the GM would still take Ronnie Brown in the 2005 draft??

Or would you take Braylon Edwards, Shawn Merriman, DeMarcus Ware???

If Ronnie could stay healthy I think I would easily say we made the right pick. Braylon Edwards showed he is a true playmaker this season and could be one of the top 5 recievers in NFL in next couple seasons. So for me its close between Ronnie and Braylon.

You play GM...What would you do???

Can't look back.......it's only depressing

The point of the thread is just to have a bit of fun. Plus this situation isnt really depressing because we got a good football player in Ronnie Brown either way.

well as i die hard michigan fan i wanted braylon in the worst way, still wish we would have took him. i was extremely pissed when i found out saban called and told him we were taking him while we were on the clock and the they took brown. even though ronnie is one of my favorite dolphins

Um i guess at the time Ronnie Brown was still the right choice. I wouldn't really do the 2nd overall pick in the draft over again but i woud have taken someone else in the 2nd other than Matt Roth. The jury is still out on him and Channing Crowder but we could have gotten better selections probably.

i still take Ronnie... Remeber in 04, we had NO RUNNING BACKS, not 1 capable guy of being a starter... We had chambers so I dont go Braylon, and we didnt really need LB's. IMO our absolute biggest need was runningback. So I still take Ronnie

I don't know about you guys but I'd go back and take Derek Anderson!!!! In any round

Taking in EVEYTHING we know now i wouldnt have taken brown b/c of the talent we could have gotten later in the draft at rb. I would have gone Braylon Edwards with the first pick and Frank Gore with the 2nd. That would leave us with the combo Edwards/Gore instead of Brown/Roth. Or went with Edwards/bpa/Marion Barber. But thats being overly sceptical and being that we didnt know everything at the time we got great player in brown and im happy with it(Just stay healthy man!)

How about not knowing what you know now? Just going by what you knew from 2004 and where we needed upgrades

I'd still take Ronnie. We haven't seen the kid's full potential yet... I just hope he can start to stay healthy.

let me start by saying i love ronnie brown. having said that, given the fact that we didnt have him this year anyway and our d was a travesty, how could you not take ware or merriman? i guess at the time our d was fine and our O needed help, so as far as brown or edwards i still would have taken brown.

I would of picked up Merriman. then picked up a running back in the second round such as, F. Gore who was a third round pick a steal but the past is the past.

Guys Brown is the real deal..... If you guys remember the first 5 games this year, he was tearing up the league..... That was also with a pretty bad offense around him... I can't wait to see us work on the oline and see Beck develop and then see our offense... Ronnie is the man.
