If we actually had some talent this would be our year. Unfortunately, we don't have anything going on for us in the talent department. Look at this cake schedule.

Now that Brady has gone down, the pats are screwed, the bills are jekyl and hyde, and the jets are not for real after what I saw sunday.

There is no good NFC West team. The 49ers are terrible, rams got smoked, cardinals are a joke, and the seahawks are decimated on offense.

Look at the AFC west, the broncos beat up the worst team I have ever seen in the Raiders, so we cant judge if theyre for real or not. The Chiefs are pathetic, and the chargers got stunned at home. The Chargers may be for real, but the jury is still out. Our two extra games against a terrible texans and ravens team starting a rookie qb that will come back to earth mean that honestly if we had any talent whatsoever we could easily win 12 games this year. If we had this schedule and Brady going down next year or in two years, we would scrape.

Unfortunately we have no recieving corps, our line can't run block, and our secondary looks like we are starting Reggie Howard clones.

Look forward to a 5-11 season where we drive down the field to win the game at the end and fumble or throw a pick in the redzone. I've seen alot of that the past couple of years and im tired of it.

Maybe you should go too Dallas and be a cowpoke fan. Tony Romo looks great.

Rebuilding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I can't deny that we lack a bit in the talent department, but -as I've said countless times on this board - what did you expect? Miracles? To say the Raiders are the worst team you've ever seen is a little ridiculous given what this team showed last year, too.

WE WERE THE WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL LAST YEAR, BUD.

To quote Gloria Steinem (via Neil Strauss) - "The first problem for all of us, men and women, is not to learn, but to unlearn."

We have to forget how to lose, and learn how to win.

I've said this same thing a few times, but maybe another alternative...

Stay here, suffer with the rest of us. Climb the mountain with us, baby. The view will be a hell of alot sweeter at the top if you climb instead of taking the elevator.

I understand your frustration the previous years have killed the orginization. If we werent so bad we might be able to do something. Its like when we had good teams our schedule was really tough now our schedule is weak and we will be lucky to win 5 games. We have sucked for years now and we will continue to suck for hopefully only a couple more years.

waaah waaah waaah we are rebuilding and we are slowly getting better as we get younger either take the journey with us or take a hike to another team

This is exactly the point. Let's face it, the chances of anybody winning the AFC East besides the pats are slim to none when Brady is playing. I don't care how good we are in 2 years, if Brady returns just as good as he was the pats will find a way to win the division for a few more years.

Thanks to the complete incompetence of the past few regimes, we're rebuilding 4 years after going 4-12!! If it had been right from the start we would be in contention now. But no, we have to wait until next year for our hopes. And.....barring anything significant happening to the Pats, I'm expecting them to reclaim the afc east for a couple more seasons after this year.

But hey.....the fate of SB losers looks like it should hold true again this year. Nobody thought there was any way the Pats would drop so far....

I think there is some talent on this team. The problem is. There isn't enough of it and we're missing it in key positions. Also, we're young. I still think this is headed in the right direction.

If you had any kind of braincells whatsoever you'd just let the season play out and stop prognosticating doom and gloom bs. We don't have the most talent in the league this year sure but we aren't going to be a doormat for teams to step on this year.

I don't think the Bills are what you said. They should be the best team on our Division now that justice met with destiny and the Patriots lost Brady!!!!! Bills could be one of the top 5 teams on the AFC, Chargers will be better than what they showed and Denver should also have a chance for playoffs. That being said, Jets didn't show anything good, and we should have beaten them. We were all over them on the fourth quarter. Not beating them, only shows how far we are from being a respectable team.

We need a better play from the OL, but it will take time to gel. The problem is we NEED to run and stop the run FIRST!!!! We knew our WR's were garbage (except little heroe Bess), and our secondary is missing a Safety and a starting CB.(Bell and Will Allen can't do it by themselves). But ... I expected all of that. Since drafting Ginn, I was one of the few that never really liked him, and the main reason is that I liked Patrick Willis with that pick. However, the rookies looked good, specially Langford and Merling. Too bad rookie OL Thomas is on IR. If this team continues to play like this, we should see Henne by midseason. The reason we are playing Pennington is because we would like to be very competitive and we are targeting the playoffs, but as we were shown, teams have no respect at all for our WR's and the deep pass. Therefore, they will put a lot of players on the box and we won't be able to run, unless somehow, our OL gels and turns out to be a top 5 unit. Which I doubt on the short run.

Our run defense is bad, and I think the main reason for that is Ferguson is not as strong as before, combined with Roth and Porter being slow for OLB. I expect a change on the OLB's soon, and next year expect a 1st round pick on DT if a very good one is available.

Now the good thing I noticed is that Crowder, Langford, Merling, Allen and Bell will be solid. And on the other side Carey, Fasano, Ronnie and Bess (as a Slot WR) are the ones with solid showing. Chad P was OK but I am starting to think that the lack of arm strenght will affect the running game more than I taught.

You're really going out on a limb with this statement.

I know right. Good year to be a decent team and get to 10 or 11 wins off just that. A great team could win 14 with our schedule. Thanks Cam!
