if we had the first pick again, who would you pick and why.

wr or db.

for me, if crabtree is coming out, him, hands down.

hakeem nicks is pretty damn close to. he may even be better!

this guy is a gme changer and we need that no matter where the
position is, expecially wr and db though.

laurinitas is just not THAT big of a instant game changer like
crabtree or nicks would be. there are a couple good pass rushing
de's in the draft, but none that i feel would come right in and be
super game changers as you HAVE to have the #1 pic be.

[yeah, yeah, i know, you can get all world wr's in the 7th round
any time, its a scientific fact, etc...]

ILB in a 3-4 at #1 are you crazy. 35 million guaranteed for a position that is fairly easy to fill and is not really a play making position. OLB/DE, CB or OT again. If you were certain Crabtree is the next Calvin Johnson or Andre Johnson....maybe.
 
Crabtree or Rey Mauluaga.

Crabtree is young and dominant. And will be for years to come, he is def an Andre Johnson type of receiver. They questioned his speed coming out of college same thing with crabtree. But crabtree is the real deal.

Mauluaga is a ray lewis type linebacker. He is fast and smart and has a nose for the ball.
 
Would look to trade down.

But I would go for Crabtree if not.
 
This isn't a very good year to have a high pick. There just aren't really a whole lot of can't miss prospects. Stafford has all the tools you look for in a franchise QB but has never been the model of consistency. Andre Smith seems like a solid player, but he was suspended for their bowl game and could have some character issues. Crabtree should be a stud in the pros but WR's are always a risk, and that system may make him look a little better than he really is. I'd guess he would probably be my choice though if we had the number one pick. No defensive players are worth that high a pick.

I would trade down. I'd be fine with Vonte Davis or Jenkins..They are a coin flip AFAIC. I'd similarly be fine with Brace or Raji...The guys we need can be gotten way further down in the 1st.
 
Crabtree is the next Randy Moss/Andre Johnson. I wish we could take him. But Malcolm Jenkins is a great CB and I wanted to take him but I keep hearing he could be converted to Safety in the NFL . If thats true William Moore is way Better than Jenkins. But with our front office we would prob take Andre Smith,Oher or MOnroe. Which I would be happy with. We could either let them develop and then get great trade value our of them. Or we could have elite bookends.What if we took Andre Smith #1, Duke Robinson or Herman Johnson with our #2. Our starting Oline would be Long,Smiley,Satele,Robinson/HErman,Smith/Oher/MOnroe. Oh well its nice to fantasize
