omar jacobs might have been a good choice:shakeno:

Not really a mistake. It was still only a 5th round pick. It was more like a calculated risk that didn't pan out. Collateral damage in the game we play today. No biggy.

Hindsight my friend. Makes one wonder though if Wright wasn't taken in last years supplemental draft where would he have been drafted this year....

I think saban has made his first mistake

Agreed. This guy is mentally soft. Not the kind of guy that's going to tough it out on a playoff run.
Didn't they interview this guy before blowing a pick on him.
This ghas nothing to do with off the field issues, it has to do with personality and character (or lack of it).
Guys like Saban and BB pride themselves on drafting intelligent players with a strong drive to succeed.

Couldn't disagree more. There are many fine players taken in the 5th rd.
This is something that should have been apparent when they were investigating and researching him.
He is a mollusk (no spine).

I read yesterday that Brooks is wowing the coaches in Cincinnati.
Maybe we should have spent a 2nd on him.

Exactly. Calling a lower round draft pick a mistake is like anal nit-pickyness. For lack of a better term anyway.
