If we lose sunday do we go ahead and start the young guys? if were 2-5 we are pretty much done, i would not mind seeing what the young guys could do.
 
which young guys are you talkin about?
 
were not going to lose and if we do you dont start the young guys in week 9.No team does that.
 
lemon,roth,alabi,wright,mitchell and anyone else that could have a chance to start next year

I understand wanting to play a youngster over a player that is playing bad (gus)... but who are we gunna sit to play Roth? Jason Taylor? no way. and Wright... are we gunna sit Traylor? no way. we gunna sit Madison to play Mitchell? nope. Now do I agree that we maybe should get these guys some more reps? ya... but we shouldnt sit our starters that are playin pretty well for some rookies.
 
it depends on HOW we lose. If we lose because frerrotte threw 3 INTS then sure, put in sage. If frerrotte throws a td and no ints, then im not so sure.

i think roth will get some playing time due to taylors injury anyway.

giving mitchell a shot at the Nickel spot doesn't seem to extreme to try IMO. but i thought he was hurt?

as for lemon, sage gets his shot first. don't looke for lemon til atleast week 14.
 
With N.O. coming off 2 "Shoulda Beens" and our Defensive injuries, things don't bode well for us. I know that they're a lil' knicked up too, but we have proven time & time again that even 2nd stringers can score on us. I see a high scoring affair as far as Dolphins games go, which we cant handle. Hope Im wrong, (our D will determine that) but even if Im not- No way do you sit the people that can get you wins.

If we lose this Sunday, we are not done in terms of standings but mentally we'd be devasting losing to New Orleans. With that being said, I don't think we are going to lose this Sunday.
 
Shird Mitchell? He's 8 months off an acl and he was a 5th rd area draft pick before the injury. Give him 3 weeks to practice, then IR him and get the real look at him starting in OTAs in April.

Plus, doing that makes it hard to keep veterans on the team, or attract new one's. Who wants to go play for a coach that gives up on his starters by Halloween?
 
Sorry , you can't throw the towel in after 7 even if your 2-5. What would that say about Saban in his 1st year?
 
It doesn't matter what the record is, you play the game hard with your best players on the field doing it. Throwing in the towl is for cowards.
