Matt Flynn, although not proven himself has shown a glimpse of what he can do in NFL. He is only 26, knows Philbin/Sherman system and is ready to start.

DeCastro would improve 3 spots on O'line. He would plug in at LG, moving Incognito to his preferred RG. Carey (once re-signed to a preferable contract) would then slide to his preferred RT spot.

An Offense of:-

Flynn, Bush/DT, Clay, Marshall, Hartline, Bess, Fasano

Long, DeCastro, Pouncey, Incognito, Carey,

in my mind still look capable of reaching playoffs next year and much like the Giants have shown, once there, its who's in form at time!

So basically the same team as last year will get into the playoffs next year?.....Flynn is not Eli Manning dude....he is a little better than Moore in my opinion....and yes DeCastro will help out our line....but he is not leading us to the playoffs....your dreaming..

You read my mind.............

no more offensive lineman in the first round its time to add weapons and playmakers, the last 5 or 6 superbowl teams dont have elite offensive lines, just sign somebody like steve hutchinson to a 2yr contract and kick murth or jerry to RG, give me melving ingram or justin blackmon, enough of this safe conservative bs.

No, he isn't. MIAMI would have made the playoffs last season with something similar. Even w/no preseason, back-up "reps" until HENNE went down, the Meatball as HC, the lingering stench of PARCELLSBALL, and the COLUMBO-CAREY fiasco, MOORE went 6-6, and was rated the 12th best QB in the League, and MIAMI all of a sudden was rated in the top 5 for pass completions of 20 yards or more. Seeing as how COLUMBO (by my count) singlehandedly killed 5-6 drives/game (not counting turnovers, mind you!), and seeing as how MIAMI lost to DENVER in OT, DALLAS by 1, CLEVELAND by 3, and the 2 best teams in the League (N.E. and the GIANTS) by 3 points, it's obvious that with ANYONE ELSE at RT, MIAMI would positively have been at least an 11-5 team, with MOORE's record being 10-2!!! And seeing how SD and HOUSTON each beat MIAMI by 6, just 1 more TD out of all of those COLUMBO-killed drives would add 2 more "W"s.

Last preseason, there were 6 VERY solid F/A Gs available. I still remember 4 of them: GALLERY, COLLEDGE, and BOTH of ATLANTA's starting Gs. MIAMI, w/more than enough "capspace", didn't make a legit offer to ANY of them. Getting just ONE of them would've meant that COLUMBO never plays here, and MIAMI's OL would have been LONG, F/A, POUNCEY, INCOGNITO, and the winner of CAREY/JERRY. Can you say "Playoffs"?

The blame for last year's failure was on ROSS, who became CHEAP during F/A. Right after he fired his "scapegoat" (SPARANO), he should have fired HIMSELF.

The question becomes will stupid ROSS do something stupid again? JUST ONE SOLID G, ROSS, you putz!!! Even w/MOORE, or FLYNN, or anyone not named MANNING, MIAMI can be a playoffs-calibre team. The talent's already here. I knock IRELAND a lot, but in truth, he didn't do badly at all after PARCELLS was gone. And this season, MIAMI is starting out w/all of its Draft picks and c. $16 Million in "caproom", and an ability to raise A LOT more w/little-to-no-pain. So, DO SOMETHING, fool!! WINNING puts people in the Stadium's seats, and gets them to pay too much for warm beer and greasy hot dogs. NOT some celebrity bimbo wiggling her a** and jiggling her Hooters.

Not so much missing on Manning. I really hope our brass has shifted their attention to Flynn, and have their hands on the phone at the ready. Come late Monday and Tuesday, there should be ALOT of fireworks to go around. I really hope we come out of this in pretty decent shape........"Fingers Crossed"!!!

No wonder we are mediocre people want to draft oline or dline every damn year and with top 12 picks ugh.

Another O-lineman with our 1st rd draft pick!?!?!?
