The Most Interesting Man
My roster would look something like this...
QB: Culpepper
HB: Brown
FB: Williams (lack of options)
WR1: Chambers
WR2: Booker
TE: Peele
LT: Alabi
LG: Shelton
C: Hadnot
RG:Toledo
RT: Carey
FS: Hill
SS: Bell
CB1: W. Allen
CB2: J. Allen
OLB1: Taylor
OLB2: Porter
ILB1: Thomas
ILB2: Crowder
LE: Roth
RE: Holliday
NT: Evans
Now, assuming we have no other big FA signings and we use the rest of FA to aquire depth, "Quantity over Quality", and fill the FB and TE spot. (yes they are important to Cam, but the Chargers got Neal from FA and Gates as an undrafted FA, they are not priority positions). Then we use the draft to fill in the weak spots in my suggested roster.
Obviously, all of the players above are not going to step it up like they do in my dreams. I think the biggest question marks are: LT, RG, CB, NT, and LE. I prefer to take the best player available in the first round, so it depends on who is still on the board. Now there are a million scenarios on how to address these holes, but these are some of my favorites:
#1
Rnd1 - Alan Branch or Amobi Okoye, NT
Rnd2 - Marcus McCauley, CB
Rnd2 - Tony Ugogh, OT
Rnd3 - Quinten Moses, LE
Rnd4 - Josh Beekman, OG
#2
Rnd1 - Levi Brown, LT
Rnd2 - Marcus McCauley, CB
Rnd2 - Tank Tyler, DT
Rnd3 - Samson Satele, OC (move Hadnot to RG)
Rnd4 - Baraka Atkins, LE
#3 (doesn't fill all the holes, but is sexy)
Rnd1 - Gaines Adams or Jamaal Anderson, RE (move Holliday to NT)
Rnd2 - Sidney Rice, WR
Rnd2 - Brian Leonard, FB
Rnd3 - Josh Wilson, CB
Rnd4 - Trent Edwards, QB
I don't think Quinn falls to us, and I don't want to go corner in the first round (bad experiences). I know all of these guys won't fall to us, but what do you think? What would you do? I am sure you all will also disgree with the roster, but the point is to look at what have, what we need, and what we can possibly do? So let me know what you think.
