So, as you all know, Derek Hagan was recently released from this team. Deangelo Hall will be waived by the Raiders shortly, but this isn't about him (there are enough threads about him already). But, my thoughts are that the FO is looking for a short term free safety who can replace Renaldo Hill for the remaineder of the season. Hill dropped that pick against New England, got called for pass interference this past weekend, and also let Eddie Royal catch a TD pass right in front of him in the same game. With the way Allen, Allen, and Goodman have been playing recently, I think the coaches are starting the realize that the biggest hole in our secondary is at FS and not at CB. If we do happen to sign Ty Law, I believe that with his age and smarts he will be brought in to play free safety and not CB like originally thought. I think adding Law as a FS makes it much more appealing than adding him as a CB because of how much his speed has detereorated. How would you gys feel about adding Law as a S? Do you think that is what the FO has in mind?

it would def. be an upgrade on what we have now, but the secondary is starting to gel now do you really want to bring in law and mess that up

No I do not think that's what the FO has in mind. When the FO inquired about Ty Law, Lehan was just placed on IR and Jason Allen was not quite ready. CB would be easier for Law to learn since he has played it before so having him try to play safety this late in the year I don't think would be wise idea.

Doesn't anyone question Hagans release on the eve of the release of Hall? Add to the fact that we have first shot at the waiver wire?? I'm just sayin!!!

STOP HATING HILL!!!!!
i am not a fan of the guy
but he is a damn pro bowler compared to when Crocker was back there..
how many huge plays has he given up??
how many big tackles did he flake out on??

Hall is not the one we should be looking at. I think it will be Huff if he is released as well.

yeah i think there is some correlation there. its a possibility we look at huff if he is released as well.

Signing and placing Ty Law at safety would be the ultimate folly for this team. I live in KC where I've watched Ty Law week in and week out for the last couple of seasons and trust me, he can't tackle. Perhaps that's not fair. I think to say that he's too scared to tackle would be more fair. I watched him the last couple of years consistantly take terrible angles when chasing the ball carrier. I say he's to scared to tackle because he's too good to not know what angles to take. Just my opinion.

Guys our record is 4-4 and we no longer have the worse record in the NFL. Other teams have a go ahead at the Waiver Wire, before us.

dont forget the TD Hill gave up to Robinson. He was the one who was supposed to be covering Robinson on the 4th qtr touchdown

According to this we already passed on Law.
