If we sign brees, do we still go for Culter or Pinager in the 2nd. OR do we keep Gus as the back up, and groom Cleo.

In that situation I wouldnt mind taking a qb in the second or 3rd round depending on how the staff feels about Cleo. If they like him enough to be the primary backup to Drew than I dont think it would be worth it to take a qb that high, otherwise I wouldnt mind it.

No, if the team signed Brees, which I doubt would happen their is no need to draft a Qb. I would even keep Gus around as a backup who has knowledge of Linehan's system if Brees would get hurt. Maybe take a guy in the 6th or 7th rd to compete with Sage or Cleo for a roster spot, but no way I spend a 1st day pick on a Qb.

no..brees is a sure thing. SD would be fool letting him go, though I'm thinking, is it possible they tag him and ask for a 1st round pick (and more)? that's the only way I see brees leaving SD

I don't see us signing Brees or any other QB thats going to cost the Dolphins draft picks. Free agency is the way to look for a vet and then a mid to late round QB out of the draft.
