I heard somewhere that we might be about $6 million under the salary cap, Harrington would get $2 million just for the 2006 that would be a total of $4 million under the salary cap for the 2006, LaVar wants $6 million per season, obviously, no team concided that dream, but he could take $4 million per season the less he could take (I think) that would keep us without cap money (If we sign him) so, how could we sign 2006 drafted players?

Thats why I thought that Harrington's sign will mean no LaVar for Fins, am I right or am I wrong??, someone that knows this case very well to share please!!!!

I think you are right, one or the other, unless Lavar brings his price down time. We will then look to draft an OLB in the draft.

how do u know its 4 against the cap?

i think we may be saving our JT and ZT restructures for insurance incase of the draftees.

$6 million is way too much.....I hope we use either our 1st or 3rd on OLB.

not necessairly. i think you may see some restructuring or possibly releasing of players. im not really to worried about the cap. im sure it will be taken care just fine.

It depends how the contracts are structured.

LaVar's price will fall once he realizes no one is willing to meet his demands. Does that mean we'll get him? no.

If we do, we've got 3 studs as our starting LBs

If we don't, I've happy with Thomas and Crowder starting with Hodge,Spragan, and Pope rotating in at the 3rd LB spot

I agree, it does appear that signing Harrington will end the LA dreams...Yes, we have restructures that can be done, but I don't think that Saban wants to prorate more of JTs salary to the future...JMO, but that's not the soundest of fiscal things to do. JT has a couple of years left and is a big hit this year, but he'd become even more of hit in future years if we restructure...same with Zach ??

wet still can get arrington the cap is easy to get around.

this seems about right, i wouldn't say easy but it can be worked with (just ask joe gibbs and dan snyder). but i don't see us breaking our backs for a guy who can easily be replaced in the draft, as was proven by the fact that washington's d had 0, and i literally mean zero, dropoff when he was on the bench.

they do incentives and such and proabably will make this seasons cap number for joey like 1.5 or 2, and next year at 5 or 6. cuz then we can cut him after this season. hes just insurance for now for c-pep as a backup. you dont pay your backup qbs that kind of money. i have a feeling he will count less than 2 miill against the cap.
