I would take a QB who could get us there (Brees) rather than a QB that will never get us there (Culpepper).
Neither one has ever been to a superbowl and they have both been to the NFC championship...Duante has been to 3 pro bowls and Brees to 2...
If you know Brees can get us there and Daunte can't please show the coaches your crystal ball that you use to tell this type of future from
I guess I should have been more clear of what I write. What I was trying to say is that we have a better chance to be a play-off team with Brees. Current stats tell that, not a crystal ball.

Lets not forget that Cpep's ligaments will be fully healed this upcoming year and a player with Brees' type of injury can come back at anytime. Who knows, Brees could re-rip that same shoulder in a mini camp practice. Those types of injuries can linger, just ask Chad Pennington.
Are you comparing the current stats in the sense of 2006 where Brees played an entire season and Daunte played 4 games? Now what real basis of comparison is that exactly? N.O. has a better line than we do first of all. Im not taking sides with someone who isnt on this team, and at this point the whole Brees C-Pepp, THING, is a non-issue. I could care less about what Brees does, all I care about is if Daunte can perform for us. If he can then YES! if not, send him packing. But brees isnt on this team so no need to support him like everyone does on these boards. How about supporting a dolphin who wants too, tries too and is playing here instead of someone on another team who has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the dolphins.

Chad's problems stemed from Herm bringing him back to early. After enough time to rest and heal Chad looked pretty solid all year wth the jets.
