Okay so I know that teams that go 0-2 can still make the playoffs jsut as we did last year, but the last time a team went 0-3 and made the playoffs was over 11 years ago and I don't think its been done many times anyway. With the schedule that we have coming up I think its safe to say if we got 0-3 we probably wont finish better than 8-8 and thats being generous.

I think if we do go 0-3 we need to put Henne in there and see what we have in our so called "Heir". I don't think it's really much of a choice. I think you have to make the switch.

What do you guys think?

Absolutely...and this is no bash on Pennington. We are as good as we are going to be with Pennington who is not the long term answer. I love Penny, we need to play Henne form that point on and see what he has.

I'd think they'd wait until at least week 4 or 5 to give him some time to prepare with the starters. You have to see what you have in him this year if we start off that bad. Some good QB's coming out in this draft.

No, but I think putting Henne in for a half would be a good idea. It might disrupt the rhythm of the game a bit more, but would give both Henne and the team more of a safety net while allowing him to get up to the speed of a regular season game...

Pennington had a charmed season last year as the Dolphins had the easiest schedule in the league...this year it's the toughest and the record will suffer because of it....Last season; 13 turnovers?? That will never happen again and wins will be much tougher to come by.

Absolutely yes!!!

Its after the bye, and we face Buffalo (at home I believe). Perfect time.

should've traded pennington before the draft like i wanted to, not draft pat white and got an ilb & fs. why wait for 0-3, start henne vs chargers.

If we are 1-4 or 0-5 going into the bye week then yes, I would start Henne vs New Orleans at home with 2 weeks worth of preperation and reps with starters.

Yes, and i've been a Pennington supporter since day one. But needing to go like 10-3 to make the playoffs is practically undoable. I know someone will probably bring up that we closed last season 9-1. But that schedule really WAS soft, and this years one is a reinforced steel wall.

It's time to see if we have to draft another QB, or if Henne has the ability to evolve into a real starting qb. Although i'd do it if we lost, I don't see the coaching staff doing it til like week 5 or 6 or maybe even later than that, unless Pennington plays unforgivably bad.

Sparano won't start Henne until we are mathematically out of the playoff race; whether we like it or not.
