If we start off strong next season, will the Media still bring up the December Swoon?

Seems like the Media (ESPN) always has something to dampen any success Miami may have.. IMO, the December swoon is a myth. A 4-12 Miami team went 2-2 in December with a key victory against the defending and future SB champs.
 
Of course they will bring it up but really who cares? Its a thing of the past. Last year we swooned the whole year so really if we only swooned in december i wouldnt be so upset.
 
Of course they'll bring it up. Until we stop falling apart in December they will bring it up.
 
Heres the thing that noone wants to admit - while painful, ESPN was right about almost every single criticism they made against us.

1) We lose more close games than we win.
2) Weve been known choke late in the year.
3) We dont play well in the cold.

All extremely frustrating to hear, and all true in the Wanny era. Hopefully, Nick will change that perception.
 
No, they'll probably say we're headed to the SuperBowl, and Greg Cote will write about Ronnie Brown being a top-5 back, and Pete Prisco will take out a fourth mortgage to put down $50k on us to win it all.
 
We won more games than any other month in December last year (not saying much). But the year before, we were also pretty successful in December, considering we had some tough games to play. The swoon is a thing of the past.

Of course they will...the nfl loves to hound the phins ever since they went undefeated in 72
 
they will keep bringing it up untill you prove them wrong.

you beat the pats in december...good for you, but you could win 4 games in december, but if you go 4-12 on the year, it doesnt matter.

you need to get to .500 and have a WINNING record in each winter month to make them stop bringing it up.

you know, show that you dont choke in the cold....

And to be truthfull everyone here will be wondering about the swoon too.

And if we wonder about it so will the veteran players.........
 
Being a Dolphin fan for the last 30+ years that was always my worst nightmare when it came to the Dolphins. How many years now have we died at the end of the season? Feels like forever.

Hopefully under Saban we get stronger as the year goes on.
