you cannot tell me that this guy wouldn't improve us right now. he has been playing in a 3 man front and has been dominant. in a 4 front he would collapse a whole side. big strong, athletic, and HIGH MOTOR.

Quick wide body DT. Sign me up. He has been moving up draft boards as of late so I'm not sure he makes it out of the top 10.
 
I also like LB Shaq Thompson on their team. If we ran the 3-4 I would draft Hau’oli Kikaha as a potential OLB.
 
After watching college ball these past few days I have to say I came away more impressed with Bennett @ Ohio St.

I saw Shelton coming out alot and yes we do this in our system but not sure he is trim enough to last 4 qtrs and have the impact as others would as a first rd. pick.

please tell I am nuts if you care. I want to hear the argument.

I like shelton but i would of liked to seen him go up against better comp more often to feel safe with picking him.

You can't really argue against people who really want him though, our defense couldn't finish games got ran all over, and was pretty worn down by the 9th game or so.

Especially if we lose Odrich and Starks which are real possibilities. Guys like shelton especially with multiple teams building 3-4 defenses, never make it out of the top 10. We've seen far less proven players drafted high just because they the 3-4 mold.

I still think we should go offense, because at the end of the day, it's a league where scoring points wins more games than stopping teams from scoring.
 
Honestly there's a handful of solid DT's that hit the market every offseason, and they take time to develop. The value to me in round 1 doesn't do it, rather go out and get some playmakers.
 
Malcom Brown will rise up before this over. Great frame. High, high character too.
