...we're officially in the playoffs if the season ended then. That's because Denver and KC play each other, and we'll win the tie-breaker against either loser (Denver for conference record, KC for common opponent record). Not sure how much it means at this point, but we hold our own destiny!

We are in a great position. Like you said, we really control our own destiny. Just keep doing what we have to do, and the rest will take care of itself

The AFC West has been on fire this season. I expected the Broncos to run away and hide with it and the Raiders to be in contention for a wildcard spot ... but wow, that division is great this year. Even the Chargers are pretty solid IMHO.

The Dolphins have an uphill climb to get into the playoffs though. We need to close the season strong at Buffalo, at New York, and against the Patriots in Miami. Those games will decide our playoff destiny.

AFC west is a tough schedule ahead they are going to beat up on each other pretty good.
Denver and KC still have a head to head to play and the Raiders have to play each team in the AFC West on the road going down the stretch.

KC - @Den, @ATL, OAK, TEN, DEN, @SD
OAK - CAR, BUF, @KC, @SD, IND, @DEN
DEN - KC, @JAX, @TEN, NE, @KC, OAK

( Denver could really do the Dolphins a solid week 15 )

Totally disagree. I expect the Raiders to run away with it and even KC to beat Denver this week. The Chiefs put in a surprisingly bad performance vs Tampa Bay and are primed to come back really hard. Andy Reid is good at coming back with surprises against division opponents.

Jesus, all 3 teams have a BRUTAL stretch ahead. We must take advantage!

Fins - SF, @BAL, ARI, @NYJ, @BUF, NE

Those are the most important games in the NFL.

How? It's more likely that the Pats beating Denver helps the Dolphins.

Only if we lose.

If we somehow manage to win the next 5 a Denver win would make that Pats game for the division.

No one knows it yet but we can play for the division at home week 17 if we just beat mediocre teams. Baltimore will be the toughest challenge on the road

Seems to me Miami fans should want NE to go undefeated from here on out and DEN/KC/OAK lose a couple more. Play NE in last game when they can rest everybody.
