If we win vs San Diego we have a favorable schedule.

the packers were last seed in the playoffs and won the Super Bowl...... i guess the team with the best record should've won the Super Bowl no?

I'd think that belief gets thrown out if you make the playoffs b/c once you're there, anything can happen.

@ San Diego
Bye
@Jets
Broncos
Giants
@Chiefs
@Washington

yeah yeah i know we are 0-3 but if theres any way of getting it out i think we might have a slight chance with a pretty decent upcoming schedule.

we could win vs beat up san diego defense , vs the jets sparano always seems to win i think he's 3-1 the last 2 years, broncos aren't very good, Giants are incosistant , Chiefs are horrible , Washington is overachieving right now.

Those teams look at the Dolphins as being favorable on their schedule. It makes no sense for an 0-3 to feel the same.

here are my projections...

we lose to san diego
we barely win in the bye week
we lose to kyle orton and denver
we lose to the giants
we lose to washington
we are winning at some point against the chiefs but ultimately lose.

the same we had a favorable matchup with the browns

If we couldn't beat ******* Cleveland how do you think we will beat San Diego

well, heres a couple reasons.

1) phillip rivers not playing as great. thrown 6 interceptions.
2) John Clayton just tweeted hours ago that Gates is seeing a foot specialist. not a good sign. that is to get an opinion of continuing to play now or risk career later.
3) San Diego plays like crap in Sept. and often has to fight scratch claw there way back.

not saying we will win, but here is a couple good reasons. If our defense plays 60 minutes instead of 58, we might just have a chance.

that's pretty much what i was getting at. they didn't have the best record, but they made the playoffs, and that's what matters. you need a good enough record to get there, and once you're there, anything can happen.

Cleveland was supposed to be a "favorable" match-up just 3 days ago. A young "blah" QB who doesn't have a refined game whatsoever, and their #1 weapon was out (Hillis).. along with a very mediocre team.

That's this year AND last year (losing to the browns). So what happened there with those "favorable" match ups ??

The Bills and Lions were supposed to be favorable last year. And what happened ?

The dolphins were very lucky that Trent Edwards started in week 1 last season instead of Fitzpatrick. Or else the Dolphins would have been swept by the Bills too as the dolphins barely BARELY beat the Bills with a pathetic Edwards in week one. Fitz would have won that game for the Bills easily as Edwards was atrocious in that game, and eventually replaced rather quickly by the far better QB in Fitzpatrick.

The Dolphins are in no position to take any NFL team lightly. As the Dolphins are a poor team themselves.

Here's my take on these upcoming games, for what it's worth:

@ San Diego Honestly, we could win this one. If we were playing them later in the season? Not a chance. For some reason they suck at the beginning of the season every single year and lose to lesser teams (Our dear Phins)
Bye Sparano loses. His job.
@Jets Could go either way because it's a rivalry game. It always does. I'll give this a Phins win just for homerism. **** the jests.
Broncos Home game. Loss.
Giants See above. Loss.
@Chiefs Unfortunately, we could win this one, giving our Luck competition a leg up. Luckily, they have Denver in their division.
@Washington Loss. This will be a game where we play to the level of our competition, which is eerily similar to how Washington plays. Expect a nailbiter of ineptitude and missed field goals.

2-4 (plus a loss in Sparano getting fired before the end of the season and risking winning some meaningless games for the new interim coach)

They travel to New York to play the Giants and play the Redskins in Miami

Derp. Of course they do, I was once considering going to that game....

Both remain losses in my eyes. The Giants are a better team.

we're not beating san diego...not with a lockerroom as separated as ours is right now...2 teams headed in totally opposite directions...i don't care if gates plays or not...we'll probably make randy mcmichael look like gates anyways

philip rivers will have a field day against our secondary probably minus vontae davis...we'll be going stagnant in the red zone and kicking fgs like we always do and the chargers will be hanging td burgers on our *****

0 and 4 into the bye week...book it
