does that mean we cut Rosenfels or keep 4 QB's? I couldn't imagine either option so that leads me to believe that if Saban is interested in McPherson, it's to put him on the PS and nothing else.

Until I've heard it from Saban I'm not convinced we are even after him. He is talented but will be a 4th stringer and then come to us? Unless there is potential that Sban sees, I'm not sure we'd take him at all. Maybe if he's available on waivers.

Where is everybody hearing that we are interested in him?? I think I missed something.

It was in today's Miami Herald.

Considering that McPherson is behind Kliff Kingsbury on the Saints' depth chart, it seems sort of silly to think that he's better than anyone on our roster, except for maybe Brock Berlin, who at best is destined for our practice squad.

Don't you read the paper? I don't see how we drop Sage/Brock for him. So we'll have to wait and see what happens. He has to be cut first.

Why wouldnt we drop Sage, he has proven nothing and is getting more expensive every year to hold a clip board. If he is better than Brock, get him, drop Sage, put Brock on the practice squad.

Are you telling me that you think McPherson is better than Sage? Personally, I love Sage and if you look at his contract, he's not costing us too much. I"d feel more comfortable if Sage had to play in a game vs. McPherson. He didn't play all that bad in last year's season finale vs. a good defensive team in the Ravens.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think you feel that Berlin is better than Sage or that Berlin should be our 3rd stringer.

I think Berlin and McPherson are cheaper than Sage, and a 3rd string QB is worthless in the NFL. If we have to play our 3rd string all is wasted anyway, might as well save a few bucks.

I'd have a hard time accepting a QB that couldn't even make the Saints roster

If Sage has to get in the games this year may God help us...

Yeah, it's tough to say...I mean 4 QB's on the roster??? Berlin has been doing his part and so has Rosenfels.... I definetly do not see us cutting Ferotte or Feeley....So it could be just for the practice squad....but the media makes it sound like Saban is high on him...

It could also be that Saban thinks he's fit good in Linehan's offensive system....ala Culpepper (scrambling QB)

I love Adrian McPherson but he is a project that we might not have the patience for.I wish we would have drafted him and if he's a free agent I'd pick him up in a flash, but next year the draft is so deep with quality QBs that we don't NEED him per say.

You could say the same thing about AJ!

Mcpherson is a very good prospent, for the future, he costs 3 times less then Sage, and Sage is on a one year deal, and is likely playing his last season with Miami.
