I felt bad for Chad. He played with guts tonight. That oline is ****. He missed some throws and that pats pass D is brutal, but he didn't play like a coward. I'm proud of him. If he can just master consistency, he can make it in this league.

Everybody talks about the D but they tighted up after the first 14 pts,then Vontae and Sean went down. Remember the field was in bad condition which is terrible for CBs and especially against the pats. We are going to be a really good team this year. We'll be in the playoffs imo. That offense is exactly what we need because our D will be top 5. Theres no reason to worry about the D.

I can't say that there is any way possible that the Texans secondary is anything more than middling right now. While JoJo is nice there are still obvious holes to the Texans defense (mainly the middle of the field). I think Wade Phillips's biggest contribution to the Texans defense right now is how much pressure the front 7 is generating, which was pretty much non-existent last year outside of Mario Williams.
The Pats defense isn't a big in your face ownage machine but they are opportunistic and they play well with a lead. Right now, the Texans defense is guilty of assault and battery on what is probably going to be a terrible offense without Peyton Manning. I think what worries me the most is if Henne and Marshall can get going Henne could possibly put up another 300 yarder if your guys O-line holds up. I don't expect Mario Williams to even try Jake Long with Columbo on the right side.
There is 623 reasons to be worried about the D!!! That's almost 3 game totals for a top 5 defense.
Because moving Brady off his spot is THE way you beat him. That template has been established definitively for several years now and was carved in stone during a Super Bowl.
In this game when we made him move he was off and their O was ineffective. If you let him get set he will pick you apart.

1) Leadership of the team (Hence hes a captain now)
2) Using his legs as a weapon (which dan henning never let him do)
3) His scrambling ability to keep plays alive and come off his first reads and not throw to check down.
4) His audible calling at the line
5) His field vision
6) His getting rid of the ball on blitzing downs and not taking a bunch of sacks.
Overall Chad is really maturing, lets see what he does against Houston who has a Mediocore defense at best!
P.S Please dump this bumb richie ingongnito. The guy is INCOGNITO and needs to be cut, hes a holding call waiting to happen on a huge drive all over again.
Overall I knew Henne would come to his own, and was never one of the people that wanted to OST him out of town. He can be a really solid pocket QB with the ability to use his legs! And he has a really nice arm, just needs to work on fade routes and screen plays.

wow go point out the one mistake he made that doesn't matter at all.
OK, houston re tooled their defense much like we did to our offense, they hired wade (i just ate a valium) phillips who is supposed to be some kind of defensive genius.
with that offense vs. our secondary huffing and puffin and cramping, henne will need another 400+ yd game just to keep up with schaub, foster and johnson.
feel free to point out my spellng mistakes instead of arguing the point.
sorry you misunderstood, i meant the offense being able to put up 30 points a game not the defense giving it up.
i disagree. though 'most' of the fault was the defense's fault and 'some' on the running game's lacking....'some' were
also on Henne fcking up those two TDs at 4th and goal. Not to mention Henne's numbers were ballooned in garbage time. The game was over by the time he got that last TD. He played....'ok', not 'great'.
