Kinda like hooking into the Jets fans game thread. On a Bills fan site, fans are discussing what celebrities in Buffalo could join the Bills ownership (similar to J-Lo etc having joined the Dolphins)

Kinda sad list they come up with

Beth Phoenix
Billy Sheehan
Lou Gramm
The Lucille Ball Estate
O.J.
:err:

Which leads one poster to say:
The lack of inspiration in these names is almost as embassasing as the Semi-Pro Buffalo Football team.

Billy Sheehan was the bass player for some 80s metal band. He's basically Eddie Van Halen on the bass guitar.

The Buffalo boards are really down right now. Their spirits could use a lift like a win over the Jets this Sunday would provide.

If I lived in Buffalo....

1. I'd move
2. Shoot myself
3. See above

As a big time hockey fan, there arent many cities that love their team as much as the fans for the Sabres. So I would love living their for the hockey love they give out, but for anything else, I agree with #2 the most!

Hey, now. There is nothing wrong with Buffalo as a place to live. Most people who live here actually like it. I wouldn't want to live in Miami. Different strokes for different folks.

As far as the team, I've never been a fan. I became a Dolphins fan while watching the 1971 Christmas Day game. Of course they followed that by going 17-0 the next season and I was a permanent Dolphins fan.

Any ownership group would likely be composed of former athletes (Jim Kelly has expressed interest) and businessmen (Tom Golisano, the owner of the Sabres is a billionaire). The owner of the Boston Bruins is from Buffalo. The owner of a company called Rich Products, Robert Rich is very wealthy.

IMO, the team will likely be moved at some point.

Billy Sheehan was the bass player for some 80s metal band. He's basically Eddie Van Halen on the bass guitar.

Billy Sheehan was originally in a band called Talas. He later joined David Lee Roth's band for the 1st 2 albums after he split with Van Halen. He was also in Mr. Big.

He is one of the greatest, if not the greatest bass player ever. Calling him Eddie Van Halen on the bass guitar is pretty accurate but probably doesn't give him enough credit. As a bass player, I was absoloutely floored the first time I heard him.
