I'm excited but also have some doubt. Excited because we finally have a complete offense. There are no more holes and no more excuses for Tannehill. But I also have doubt because I remember I was just as pumped last year when we were projected to make a deep playoff run, so I'm a little cautious because I know we can look real good on paper but stink it up on the field.

Stop that right now...you are not permitted to be excited...that is not your job as a fan.

Your job is to be negative all the time...criticize nearly every move they make and call the GM an idiot.

After all...you have so much to lose by having some optimism or excitement about your hobby of following an NFL football team.

An the upside of negativity is you'll usually be right...only 1 out of 32 wins it all....the vast majority won't make the playoffs.

And...no one cares enough to remember when your wrong usually...and will be too caught up in the Dolphins success to bother.

So be very careful about enjoying the ride...far too risky.

What's that? You finally take that bag off your head? See what happens when you can see? No draft is ideal. You have to roll with it and have a little trust in people. I know it's hard. It's hard for me, too. One thing for sure, is hopefully our offense will be a little bit more exciting to watch this year. As for draft grades and the like. Completely ignore them. They have to write something and most of the time, in the end, they don't get it right. No need wasting mental energy on things that have no bearing on how our team plays on Sundays.

Haha! Nice post....

That's appropriate Bluefin...hahaha.....too many "GM" posters here with doomsday attitudes...

I was REALLY hoping for a bigger focus on the front 7 as I have made clear in my posts....

But, I feel pretty good with the direction our team went and the "attitude" and play maker finger print we established during the draft...

For sure we will see who makes the cut but I believe the coaching staff has a particular vision and part of it is speed and athleticism...

Let's face it, nobody knows if any of the top ranked guys will make it and until we strap on the pads and get into the games we won't know about any of our guys but we needed offensive line help...a cb with size and attitude...a second rb with shiftiness and pass catching ability...speed and attitude in the wr ranks (possibly losing stills after this season)...a back up plan at tight end (possibly losing Cameron after this season)...help with the return game to keep landry out of the war zone .....

We answered those needs with players our coaches targeted with their vision in mind...so bitch on draft gurus and GM wannabes.....we will see soon enough how this pans out....

I'll remove the bag when we start winning and scoring more than 21 points a game.

I'm with you on the cautiously excited part. Carroo, Drake, Grant and Duarte could work vey well with Parker, Landry, Stills, Cameron, and Ajayi. Tannehill has weapons now, though I'm a bit concerned about our depth at running back. I'd love another guy who can carry the load if need be. I wanted Dixon, but I understand why they took Drake. Explosion has been missing from this team for a while. Injecting some speed was a major priority.

Now, defensively, I'm concerned. We lack depth at linebacker and cornerback, two of our starting linebackers are injury prone, and our starting corners are suspect, at best. We really need more depth on the other side of the ball...

yeah, let's get through camp and see what we have left after those trials.

We were never going to fill every hole the team had. We filled the holes on offense and next year we do it on defense.

As long as the defense doesn't give up more than 20 points, I'm OK with the offense scoring only 21 points.

Biggest cause for some optimism is Coach Gase. I like the way he has started. I like that new GM Chris Grier and Mike Tannenbaum appear to be trying to get him the players he wants. Our front office and our coach appear to be working together.
Do you think that Ireland would have given up next year's picks to move up in 3rd round to draft Carroo for Joe Philbin? It would never have happened.

Agreed, most people are bashing grier and tannenbaum but these guys all seem to fit with what our coaches are looking for. So what we traded a 3rd next year for a third and 4th next year. We get the comp picks anyways plus id rather use the pick this year and have the player get an extra year of coaching. What does that 3rd round and 4th round do to help us this year? Nothing

One thing I have to give the front office a lot of credit for is looking toward the future. I'm not sure that past GM's take Laremy Tunsil when he fell to #13. That move solves the left tackle position long-term, even if Tunsil kicks inside for a year.

The team also got much needed speed. I think Drake will play a bigger role than people expect. His tape is exciting and he adds value with kick returning skills.

It does seem like the team gave up a lot for Carroo (sp) since wide receiver is not a big need. But Jarvis Landry is my favorite player on the team and Carroo plays a lot like Landry. Carroo may have been a 2nd rounder if he played for a major college.

I do wish more was done to improve the front seven. A lot has been mentioned of the attempt to trade up for Miles Jack and that would have really made this draft.

Tunsil was a no brainer since our idiot GM already knew and investigated the video, franchise left tackle(Tannehill has to be smiling)....my only question mark was the 2nd round trade-up...was it neccesary?...The player fits our scheme and has a high ceiling.

I love the explosiveness of the later offensive players...Drake, Caroo & Grant.

I love the Caroo pick but he will probably get likited playing time and be cut in 2 years.
